9 Recommendations Six month program $10 per vehicle fee with a vendor application fee of $500. No cap on number of vehicles / number of vendors Must maintain a San Antonio based fleet manager No geographic limitations Monthly reporting requirements on usage, violations, and trip data Vendor app must educate on rider safety, areas where riding is prohibited, and safe/lawful parking. 9

10 Recommendations: Safe Riding Minimum age requirement of 16+ Dockless vehicles must always yield to pedestrians Riders must utilize bike lanes when available. In the absence of a bike lane, the rider use their best judgment when deciding to use the street or sidewalk. If they use the sidewalk, must maintain a 2-foot walk path for pedestrians. The vehicle can only be ridden on roads with speed limits of 35 mph or less Must have a light on the front and a red light on the back Must have a bell, horn, or other sound mechanism 10

11 Recommendations: Prohibited Areas Presently, City Code prohibits the use of any electric motorized vehicles on the river walk, trails, creek ways, and in parks Public streets that intersect parks and plazas may be ridden upon (example: E. Nueva in Hemisfair Park) 11

12 Recommendations: Parking May be parked on sidewalk as long as 3ft remains clear for pedestrian traffic Exclusions to parking bicycles or scooters on sidewalks: Within 8 of a bus stop pole or bus shelter; In commercial or pedestrian loading zones; Within 4 of street furniture that requires pedestrian access (for example - benches, parking pay stations, transit information signs, etc.); Interfering with a curb ramps, entryways, or driveways; Within 8 of a building entrance May park in a bike rack but may not park in a B-Cycle docking station May not park in parks, plazas, or on trails including: Alamo Plaza, La Villita, Main Plaza, Market Square or on the river walk (prohibited areas) 12
