1 AMENDED RESOLUTION NO. ADOPTED BY THE SACRAMENTO CITY COUNCIL ON DATE OF - MAR RESOLUTION GRANTING CITATION ANDARRESTAUTHORITYTO CERTAIN. EMPLOYEES WITHIN THE ON-STREET PARKING &ANIMAL CARE SERVICES D1VISION'OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENFORCING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE CITY CODE OR STATE LAW WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance on April 23, 1985; and WHEREAS, said ordinance requires that a list.of employees occupying job classification designated for Citation and Arrest Authority be submitted to the City Council; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that this listing be updated whenever changes in personnel occur within the Department/Division. THEREFORE,.BE IT HEREBY-RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SACRAMENTO THAT: All previous resolutions granting citation and arrest authority to certain employees within the On-Street Parking & Animal Care Services Division of the Department of Public Works for the purpose of enforcing certain provisions of the City Code or State Law are superseded by the following: Section 1: In order to enforce certain provisions of the City Code, those employees hereinafter named are hereby granted citation and arrest authority for the purpose of enforcing those particular provisions of the City Code and State law hereinafter specified, and for those limited purposes only. 2 TO ENFORCE Chapter 25 and 51 of the Sacramento City Code, and that portion of the California Vehicle Code as set forth in Exhibit A-attached hereto. Section 2: Those employees granted citation and arrest authority pursuant to Section 1 shall have citation and arrest authority only when on duty during their regular working hours or when on special assignment-at the direction of their department head or his/her authorized designee. Section 3: Nothing herein shall be read to limit the power or authority of any duly appointed law enforcement officer of the City to enforce those Chapters of the City Code heretofore set forth. Section 4 This resolution is enacted pursuant to Article III of Chapter 30 of the Sacramento City.
