2 DIRECTOR S THOUGHTS WE FINALLY MADE IT TO COOLER WEATHER. Some of you don t slow down when it gets hot, some of us do. I personally just quit altogether this summer as I had some medical problems. Hopefully these have been resolved for the time and I can ride. I feel as though I didn t give the Chapter all it deserves. You the participants have been very understanding and supportive. The attendance at neetings and gatherings has been fantastic. I am proud Chapter D has grown and so many new friends have been introduced to each other. The family just gets bigger and bigger. Keep you eye on the calendar of events for our region as well as others as many activities are coming up. This is good visitation weather. Let s get the tires rolling and have some fun. 7 From your District Directors September 2010 Well nothing has changed when we talk about time flying by, it seems to go faster as I get older. Just got back from the Kansas rally and if you didn't make it, you should think about putting it on your calendar for next year. They had over 300 there and had great participation. They said this was their biggest convention ever. I had a great time and I am looking forward to next year. Speaking of Rallies, Chapter J's Hobo Stew is just around the corner. We always have a good time there, so get things together and plan on being in Russelville for some good fun and food. Oklahoma's convention is in October, I want to encourage Arkansas once again to plan on being there. They brought 59 to our rally and I know that they would love to see at least that many from Arkansas at theirs. You can go to the District website and click on the link for Oklahoma and get all the info. Plan on going and having a great time. As some of you already know Mike and Pat Dumas stepped down from the District Team and we are going to miss them as they contributed so much to the operations end of out District, but we wish them the best in all that they do. Many of you know the one that has stepped up to fill the treasurer's position and she is Connie Brandon from Chapter B. Connie has many years experience working with budgets and finances, she is certified in Texas as a CPA and she continues to take care of the books for their own business. We know that Connie will be a great addition to our team and we welcome her and that crazy husband, Nova too. The two of them have had years of experience in Texas and now here working with GWRRA and on the vendor side too. Please make them feel part of the team. Well that's about it from this end. 8 That s right, this Saturday September 18 and the Goldwingers lead the ride. If you are a member of GWRRA then you will be in front of the pack for being the number 1 fund raising group. We will meet up at the Toad Suck Park in Conway for staging and then leave out at 11:00am for the ride to the Clinton Library. I hope to see you all there. It s for a GREAT cause.
