IT WAS A VERY WINDY DAY: Very windy and cold but very sunny so it made for a great ride. 2 BRAKE RECALL: For those of you who had your brake recall accomplished at Sun Sports. If you did not get the brake service special at the time you got your brake recall done, you can get it done now for their special pricing. See the ad below or give Sun Sports a call for more details. CHECK YOUR BRAKE AND CLUTCH FLUID: If your fluid is not clear, it is time to have that fluid replaced. Brown or almond colored fluid is not a good thing. TRIKES: We likes trikes and trikes are always welcome on our rides. I ride a trike myself. We do ask that trikes ride in the right track and keep a motorcycle between trikes if possible. We do that for safety and so both the ride leader and the tail gunner have better visibility. OPEN TUESDAY RIDES: Fort Myers Chapter FL2-G has open rides every Tuesday morning at 9AM. Meet the group at McDonalds Cleveland Ave N. (The corner of Hancock Bridge Parkway and Route 41) You are welcome to ride with them. SPECIAL SPEAKER: Beginning our next Chapter Gathering, we want to kick-off our Bike Talks program. This chapter is all about safety and knowledge when it comes to bikes so we are planning to invite guest speakers to discuss topics of interest to the GWRRA biker. I ve already approached some organizations who have indicated an interest in addressing our Gatherings. SAFETY RECALL ISSUED : A Honda has issued a service bulletin for Secondary Master Cylinder. This important part of your brake system need attention from a Honda Certified Tech. If you have not already had the secondary master cylinder serviced, call into Sun Sports and get your Wing serviced. This is a Honda recall and will be provided free of charge.

3 CHAPTER TEAM MEETING: The next Chapter Team meeting will be Thursday evening Feb 11 at 7PM. The meeting will take place at my house 1435 Salyers St in Port Charlotte. The meeting is basically to address Chapter business and is primarily for Chapter Officers, however everyone is welcome to attend RAFFLE TICKETS: We have raffle tickets!!!!. We need your help getting these tickets sold. Nearly all of you have recently participated and directly benefitted from the awesome FREE training that has been provided to members by Florida Rider Ed. Folks, There ain t no such thing as a free lunch. Each of these classes would cost you $300 or more anywhere else. Florida Rider Ed is unquestionably the best program in the country. These trainings and programs cost money. We need to support Rider Ed by getting these tickets sold. Pick up some tickets and help get them sold. The odds of winning are very high compared to other raffles and you can win a Gold Wing or you can TAKE THE MONEY! Heck, pick up a book or two for yourselves, it s a win-win you get the direct benefit of the training and you win the prize EXPERIENDED RIDER COURSE: There will be an ERC (Experienced Rider Course) held at the new range in Wellington Fl, on Sunday Feb 7. A limited number of slots are available for this course so please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in attending this class. Proper riding attire is required. A $30 commitment fee is required to reserve your slot. The commitment fee will be returned to you when you attend the class. THIS IS ONE OF THE CLASSES PROVIDED FREE TO YOU BY FLORIDA RIDER ED. TRIKE RIDER COURSE (TRC): A Trike Rider course will be held Sunday March 6 at the Wellington Range. These courses fill up fast so let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in attending.
