4 Effectiveness of Instructional material in Science based on Thinking skill of Identifying Pros/Cons in Terms of Students Achievement and Reactions at Middle school level Researcher Guide Session Upasana Tiwari Archana Dubey Objective of the present study were - (i) to compare the mean achievement scores of students taught through instructional material at the pre and post test stages, (ii) to compare the mean thinking skill scores of Identifying Pros/Cons of students taught through instructional material at the pre and post stages, (iii) to find out the effectiveness of instructional material in terms of reactions of students. The Sample consisted of 9 th grade school students of Brilliant Higher Secondary School, Indore. The Sample comprised of boys and girls both. All the students belonged to average socio economic status, urban residential background and English medium. The measuring tools were: the researcher herself developed the tools namely achievement test, thinking skill test and reaction scale for the collection of data. The data were analyzed with the help of correlated t test and by employing percentage. The findings of the present study were- (i) The instructional material in science based on identifying pros/cons thinking skill was found to be significantly effective in terms of achievement of students, (ii) The instructional material in science based on identifying pros/cons thinking skill was found to be significantly effective in terms of development of thinking skill of identifying pros/cons among students and (iii) The instructional material was found to be effective in terms of student s reactions towards the instructional material.
5 Study of Effectiveness of T-group model for IX Class student in Terms of Communication skill and Reactions Researcher Guide Session Geetanjali Shrivastav Madhulika Verma The objectives of the present study were- i) to compare the mean pre communication skill scores with post mean communication skill scores of IX class students treated with T-group model, and ii) to study the reactions of IX class student treated with T-group model. The sample was consisted of fourteen students of IX class of Golden future public private school of Indore city Affiliated with board of secondary education M.P, Bhopal. The purposive sampling technique was used. The measuring tools were used developed by researcher Communication Skill scale and reaction scale. The data was analysis with the help of Wilcoxon signed rank test and percentages. The findings of the present study were- i) The T-group model was found to be effective in terms of communication skill, and ii) The communication skill was found to be favourable in terms of student s reactions towards the communication skill activities.

11 Development and Effectiveness of Computerised Branched Programmed Learning material for Class IX Students on selected topics of Chemistry in Terms of their Achievement and Reaction Researcher Guide Session Alifiya Ujjainwala Archana Dubey The objectives of the present study were- i) to Develop Computerised Branched Programmed Learning Material in Chemistry for Class IX Students, ii) to Compare the adjusted mean scores of Achievement in Chemistry of the Students taught thruogh Computerised Branched Programmed Learning Material and Students taught thruogh traditional method by considering Pre-Achievement in Chemistry and Personality as a covariate, iii) To Study the effect of Treatment, Personality and their interaction on Achievement in Chemistry of Students by Considering Pre-Achievement in Chemistry as a covariate, iv) To Study the effect of Treatment, Gender and their interaction on Achievement in Chemistry of Students by Considering Pre-Achievement in Chemistry as a Co variate, and v) To Study the effetiveness of Computerised Branched Programmed Learning Material in terms of Reactions of Students. The Sample Consisted of 100 Students of class IX selected from one the school. The school was selected randomly. The study was conducted on Class IX Students studying in ABN (Ammar Bagh-E-Naunihal), a CBSE Affiliated School of Indore City. The measuring tool were - 1) The Hindi and Punjabi language of the Eysenck Maudsley Personality Inventory (M.P.I.) by Jalota and Kapoor was used for measuring the Extroversion and Introversion of the Sample under study, and 2) The Achievement Test was developed by the Investigator. The data were analysed by ANCOVA, Covariate, 2x2 Factorial Design ANCOVA and Mean, SD and CV were computed for studying the Reactions towards Computerised Branched Programmed Learning Material of Experimental Group.
12 The findings of the present study were : i) Computerised Branched Programmed Learning Material was found to be Superior to Lecture Method in facilitating Achievement of Students in Chemistry when groups were matched separately with respect to Pre-Achievement in Chemistry, ii) Both Extrovert and Introvert Students were found to have Similar Achievement in Chemistry when groups were matched separately with respect to Pre-Achievement in Chemistry, iii) Irrespective of Personality Characteristics, the Achievement of Students in Chemistry can be improved equally well by using Computerised Branched Programmed Learning Material when groups were matched separately with respect to Pre-Achievement in Chemistry, iv) Girls and Boys both were found to have different Achievement in Chemistry when groups were matched separately with respect to Pre-Achievement in Chemistry, v) Irrespective of Gender, the Achievement of Students in Chemistry cannot be improved equally well by using Computerised Branched Programmed Learning Material when groups were matched separately with respect to Pre-Achievement in Chemistry, and vi) Students expressed Favourable Reactions towards different aspects of Computerised Branched Programmed Learning Material on the whole.

18 Effectiveness of Computer based classroom Instructions on Information Communication Technology In terms of Achievement, Attention and Reaction of B.Ed students of Indore District Researcher Guide Session Lata pandey Madhulika varma The objectives of the present study were- i) to the study the effect of Gender,treatment and their interaction on Achievement of B.Ed. students, ii) to the study the effect of Medium of Instruction Treatment, and their interaction on Achievement of B.Ed. students, iii) to the study effect of Gender, Treatment, and their interaction on Attention of B.Ed. students, iv) to the study the effect of Medium of Instruction Treatment, and their interaction on Attention of B.Ed. students, v) to compare the adjusted mean confident in responding score of students treated with CBCRI with traditional instruction group by taking pre Confidence score in Responding as covariate, and vi) to study the reactions of experimental group of B.Ed. students towards Computer Based Classroom Instruction. The sample consisted of 107 students of B.Ed. studying in two sections of School of Education, DAVV. School of Education was selected by using purposive sampling techniqe. The data were collected in respect of Achievement and Attention capacity. Tools are developed by researcher. The data were analised by using 2x2 factorial design ANOVA, One Way ANCOVA and the help of percentage. The findings of the present study were- i) The Achievement of B.Ed. Students is independent of their Gender, ii) CBCRI is significantly effective in increasing the Achievement of B.Ed. students, iii) The Achievement of B.Ed. Students is independent of the interaction between Treatment and their Gender, iv)
