7 Key projects in China 7 Xinjiang: A remote location and forbidding environment make boosting efficiency a challenge The groundbreaking part of Shenhua s plan is to increase efficiency through the more rational use of machinery. And that is why it has become the first company in China to use the 220- ton Cat 793D mining truck as its main transportation vehicle. The Cat 793D mining trucks are an important link in the supply chain for the pithead power plant that completes Shenhua s Xinjiang Zhundong Coal Power Base, the first large-scale, kilowatt-level pilot project to integrate coal production and power generation.

8 Key projects in China 8 Qinghai: Caterpillar is helping deliver cleaner energy from the roof of the world To provide sufficient transmission power for the Sebei-Xining-Lanzhou Natural Gas Pipeline, 12 Solar Turbines gas turbine engines were installed, and four Caterpillar gas turbine generator sets in gas transmission stations along the pipeline. Caterpillar gas turbine generator sets are used to provide emergency power to gas compression stations in case of power failure.

9 Key projects in China 9 Hunan: The Best Road in Hunan: Making a connection with the Border Town The Changde-Jishou Expressway was built during a golden period of road construction for the province in which Caterpillar played a central role. Cat machines can be found on every expressway in Hunan Province, Chen Linlin, general manager of Cat dealer CEL, says proudly.
