1 ES09 ELECTRICAL MACHINES TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The Electrical Machines Trainer is produced in consistency with the training programs of the electrical and electronics engineering and teaching departments of the universities and those of the vocational education collages. The machinery equipment provided with the sets has an average power of 1.5 kw. Security has been given top importance so in this respect leakage current circuit breaker, emergency stop button, protective fuses at all outputs and special spring type safety sockets with the connectors and the leads to protect against electrical shocks are widely used in all of the sets. The connectors in all the electrical machines are wired to a terminal box via 2.5 mm 2 special cable sockets. There are skid-rail and coupling elements useable on the power bench to avoid vibrations caused by the operating motors. The Electrical Machines Trainer Set consists of six different subsets: Asynchronous Machines Experiment Set Dc Machines Experiment Set Synchonous Machines Experiment Set Transformers Experiment Set Control Techniques Experiment Set General Material Pockets

2 Asynchronous Machines Experiment Set Induction machine has three phase stator winding and squirrel cage burried in the rotor. It is suitable for working as motor and alternator. All of connections socket are on the motor connection box. It has a suitable frame for coupling the other machines at the same cradle-monted housing. It can be used for testing: Slip test of three phase asynchronous motor. No load test of three phase asynchronous motor. Short -circuit test of three phase asynchronous motor. Circle diagram drawing test of three phase asynchronous motor. Load test of three phase asynchronous motor. Working as an alternator test of three phase asynchronous machine. Synchronized test of three phase asynchronous motor. Working monophase test of three phase asynchronous motor. No load test of single phase asynchronous motor Reversing working

3 Dc Machines Experiment Set The direct current machine is used as series, compound, shunt, external excitation motor and generator. All of connections socket are on the motor connection box. It has a suitable frame for coupling the other machines at the same cradle-monted housing. It can be used for testing: No load characteristic test of external excitation generator. 4 Synchonous Machines Experiment Set The Synchronous machine is with three phase stator armature winding for operation either as an alternator or as a synchronous motor. It is suitable for working as motor and alternator. All of connections socket are on the motor connection box. It has a suitable frame for coupling the other machines at the same cradle-monted housing. It can be used for testing: No load characteristic test of generator. External characteristic test of generator. Set characteristic test of generator. Short circuit characteristic test of generator. Loaded saturation characteristic test of generator. Regulation characteristic with impedance method. Regulation characteristic with potier triangle method. Parellel of a synchnous machines. Methods of the working of synchronous motors. Diagram of the V curve of a synchronous motor. Power factor correcting with synchronous motor. Calculation test of alternators.

5 Transformers Experiment Set All of connections socket are on the motor connection box. It can be used for testing: Measurement of the winding resistance Measurement of the transformation ratio. No load test of transformers Short circuit test of transformers Polarity test of transformers Load test of transformers Calculation test of transformers. Measurement of the phase differantial primary and secondary winding test. Control Techniques Experiment Set Electrical machines trainnig set is suitable for control techniques with these equipments. Control techniques set is suitable for working with programable logic controller ( PLC ). Control techniques can be used for testing : Interreption working Control with starter switch Control with buton Buton locked control Elektrical locked control Starting with resistans and reaktans. 6 ES09-01 Power Bench: General Material Pockets The power bench is provided with a 30 mv-25 A 4-pole leakage current circuit breaker, phase indicator lamps, an emergency stop button and two single-phase, one three-phase covered sockets.(es09-10) There are two V + 10 A DC adjustable power supplies with ammeter, voltmeter and separate fuses on the bench.(es09-11) The fixed power supplies have independent outputs. The set provides also 3*380 V + N AC fixed output that is protected with 3*380 V + N 10 A delayed fuse and phase indicator lamps.(es09-20) There are three 16 A 500 V AC, 220 V 50 Hz Contactor Module (ES09-22) The inputs and outputs are designed for use with 2.5 mm 2 shock protective, flexible cables having caps. ES09-01 Work Bench: The work bench is made from laminated material and has the dimensions 1760*800*750mm and provides the facility of placing skid-rail on it for working The pads with scratch resistant oven paint finish are constructed to withstand the weight on the bench. ES09-02 Coupling Skid (1 Set): Provides easy access for the machines in the set to be mounted and dismounted. It facilitates the coupling of all the machine in the set to be mounted at the same axial level in match. Built in the dimensions 1000*300*50 mm and capable of absorbing the vibrations from the roll of the motors.

7 ES09-03 Aluminum Frame (1 Set): It is a frame where the measuring meters are mounted and dismaounted. It provides good compatibility with the set for a comfortable work. Dimensions:170x360 ES09-04 Connection Cables (3 colors - 4 lengths - 36 pieces): Flexible and shock protective spring type cables having 2,5 mm 2 cross-section and 25 A current capacity are supplied in adequate variety, length and number for performing the tests. ES ~ Asynchronous Motor (Permanent Circuit Capacitor) (1piece) Power rating: 1,5 Kw. 220 V single phase with 4 poles Provides the facility of fixing to a skid-rail attachment that can be mounted to the bench and for coupling with the other electrical machines on the same rail. Conforms the standards on safety classification, cooling and operating regime ES09-52 Synchronized motor and alternating current generator group (1 piece) Rated 1Hp (750 VA), operating voltage: 380 V 3 phase Excitation voltage is within the range VDC, power factor:1 and rotational speed: 1500 rpm Can be used as motor or generator

Conforms the standards on safety classification, cooling and operating regime. ES09-53 DC Motor and Generator Group (2piece) Rating 1,5 Kw, 2 HP, 200 V 1500 rpm. Shunt, excitation and wound windings are separately confined in the terminal box. Can be used as motor or generator Provides the facility of fixing to a skid-rail attachment that can be mounted to the bench and for coupling with the other electrical machines on the same rail. Conforms the standards on safety classification, cooling and operating regime. ES09-54/55/56 Transformer Group (1 piece) Rated power:1,5-2 kva, and operatting voltage: 380 V. The ratio of the number of turns in the high voltage winding to that of the low voltage winding is about 2. Provided polarity makes it convenient for tests on transformation ratio. All transformers are suitable for us on the bench. 9 ES Phase Asynchronous Machine with Rings (1 pc) Rated 1 Hp (1 kw), operating voltage: 380 V 3 phase with 4 poles and rotational speed of 1500 rpm. Can be used as motor or generator Provides the facility of fixing to a skid-rail attachment that can be mounted to the bench and for coupling with the other electrical machines on the same rail. Conforms the standards on safety classification, cooling and operating regime. ES09-62 Starter resistances for 3-Phase Asynchronous Machines (1 piece) 3-step fan Provides smooth start to the asynchronous motor ES09-58 Fucoult Brake (1 piece): Operational rating is 48 V DC, 3 A, and has a construction enabling to load the spindle of the machine up to 1,25 fold of the nominal load current. Its spindle elevation and the coupling mode match for coupling on the same skid-rail with the other machines in the set. The technical specifications of the Measuring Instruments and the Modules: ES09-10 Power Supply Modules(1 piece): It has 30mA-25A 4 pole circuit-breakers and is provided with emergency mushroom head pushbutton.. It has two pieces monophase,one piece threephase coversocket. Modules are suitable for 3*380V +N AC fixed outputs voltage. Inputs and outputs socket is adaptable 2,5 mm 2 connecting leads with 4 mm safety ES09-11 Variable DC Powersupply Module(2 piece) Ammeter fuse socket for outputs on the supply modules. Voltmeter fuse socket for outputs on the supply modules. It has two V+10 A DC variable powersupply Inputs and outputs socket is adaptable 2,5 mm 2 connecting leads with 4 mm safety

10 ES09-12 Adjustable AC Source / Box Variac (1 piece): Adjustable 3-phase minimum 3 x 2,5 KVA, adjustable 3-phase V AC, 10 A output. The power supply is powered from the source of 3-phase 380 V AC on the power bench. 10-A V-automaton type fuse at the output of the power supply. The power supply is equipped with an electronic network analyzer and has a measuring instrument commutator. Allows simultaneous readings of RST voltages, currents, frequencies and power factor. There are three 60/5 current transformers on it for the measuring instruments. The power supply is placed in a locked housing with handles and wheels for easy transports. 16 COMPUTER-AID MODULE PC Interface and software Cokesen Electric Machinery Training Set is so designed that it can be computer aided. Computer-Aid Module builds the connection and communication between electric machines and the computer. The module consists of measuring and control interfaces. By this module, electromechanical measurements (current, voltage, rotor speed, and etc.) are taken via the computer and are easily stored. In addition, data regarding electric machines are visualized in a convenient format on the computer screen. More importantly, the data are processed fast and with minimum error by the computer. Computer-Aid Module provides the capability of fast data reading, data visualization, and data processing. In this way, a user can analyze electric machines easily and design various training scenarios.
