2 HD700 SERIES THE SHELBOURNE HD700 SERIES RANGE OF HEDGE AND VERGE TRIMMERS HAS BEEN DEVELOPED HAND IN HAND WITH OWNER DRIVER CONTRACTORS OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS AND IS AVAILABLE IN 5.5m FIXED BOOM, 6m TELESCOPIC AND 6.2m VARIABLE FORWARD REACH CONFIGURATIONS. A range of specifications and configurations makes it suitable for both farmers and contractors. All models in the HD range can either be 3 point linkage or axle mounted and feature a heavy duty frame and king post design with folded steel tapered booms giving the strength where it is needed and saving weight where possible. The HD700 Series has been engineered to outperform other machines in tough conditions. Dyno testing has developed a more efficient high pressure, low flow hydraulic system. This gives reduced pressure drops through the system which in turn generate less heat and provide more power to the cutting head. Two cast iron gear pumps are mated to the gearbox, the secondary pump provides fast responsive arm movements.

3 The innovative flail head is available in 1.2m and 1.5m sizes and features an open easy entry front chamber with rounded anti-snagging corners. An optional hydraulically adjustable roller is available which enables the operator to switch from hedges to verges by moving a spool valve lever in the cab. Brackets are available for saw blade attachment. 3 POINT STABILISER FRAME All HD heads are driven by twin v belts. Due to the high pressure drive no gearing up through the belt drive is required, this means both pulleys are similarly sized giving maximum belt wrap and performance. The fixed head to boom mounting is slightly offset to compensate for the drive weight, this means that the head sits level when the float system is engaged. Both 1.2m and 1.5m heads can be configured with either an inboard or outboard drive. All HD 700 series machines are available as either right or left side build machines and feature digital, programmable, proportional joystick controls as standard. DIGITAL PROPORTIONAL JOYSTICK CONTROL AXLE MOUNTING SUB FRAME The rotor is engaged electronically and can be operated in either direction. Hydraulic head and arm float systems are standard, coupled to the high powered hydraulics, this makes the HD700 Series highly efficient on power draining verge work.
