2 Series CSDF Fixed Pattern Slot CSDF Factory Fixed Pattern Slot CSDF Fixed Pattern Slot Diffuser The Holyoake CSDF Fixed Pattern Slot Diffuser is designed with the fixed pattern blades and frae, produced in the sae finish to provide an aesthetically pleasing design to suit conteporary building interiors, whilst providing unobtrusive, draft less air distribution over a wide range of airflows. The Unique diffuser construction provides excellent ceiling effect, particularly suitable to variable volue applications where horizontal throws are required. Construction: Extruded aluiniu continuous or discrete length linear slot diffusers. Utilising standard CSD 19 or 25 construction coponents and ounting frae in conjunction with a specifically designed fixed pattern profile extrusion. Features: Excellent aesthetics, with specifically designed profile. Bi-directional (can be factory assebled for left and/or right hand throws). Incorporates standard CSD construction coponents and ounting frae configuration. Mitred corners if required. Square ends only. CSD 19 or 25 equivalent only available. CSDF Fixed Pattern Notes 1. 6 Series CSD Diension Data End Styles Flanged End - Type F is for use where the end of the diffuser terinates away fro the wall or partition and is visable. TYPE F Flange End TYPE S Stop End Stop End - Type S is used where the diffuser terinates at a wall or parition. Open End - Type O is for use when diffuser terinates at a wall or partition, or when the diffuser is to be butted with another diffuser. Also used when field cutting is required. TYPE O Open End TYPE P Partition End Partition End - Type P is used to separate between active and inactive sections of diffuser when part of a continuous length. Patent App. No The CSD ounting frae (CSD-MF) is a base frae which is designed to be built into a solid ceiling. Once the frae has been installed the CSD is then inserted into this ounting frae to coplete the installation. The CSD-MF offers a vastly iproved alternative to the standard ethod of CSD installation. This syste will not only save tie for all of the contractors involved (HVAC, ceiling erectors, plasterers etc.) but will also give a uch higher standard of finish than was typically able to be achieved. Norally ceiling slot diffusers are one of the ost difficult supply diffusers to install into a solid ceiling. During the process of installation it is not uncoon for both the plasterer and the painter to have to carry out reedial work to ensure a reasonable standard of finish is achieved. All of this work is obviously detriental as it takes tie and often daages the linear diffuser and contributes to the poor overall appearance of the CSD. The CSD-MF is installed as part of the solid ceiling grid syste. This allows the supply air boots to be installed when there is clear access to the ceiling space and there is no danger of daaging the high quality finish of the CSD. When it is tie to line the ceiling the ceiling erector has a slot to slide the gib or plaster sheet into. Once the plasterer has stopped the ceiling sheets the painter is free to paint the entire ceiling without having to be concerned with asking the CSD which is not yet in place. When everything has been finished to the required standard the CSD itself is just siply pushed up into place to copletely conceal the ounting frae. The CSD-MF has any features designed into it to enable a faultless CSD installation. The ounting frae is equipped with a flexible edge which is fastened to the adjacent steel or wooden ceiling battens, whichever is used. This flexible edge allows for any discrepancies in the ceiling itself. If the flexible edge does not take up any discrepancies in the ceiling the solid ain section of the frae reains rigid to provide an accurate slot for CSD. The frae is also designed to accept the gib or plaster sheet accurately, however if there were discrepancies the plasterer can plaster out those discrepancies. With all these features the use of the CSD-MF will not only save tie in installing the CSD but will also result in a uch higher standard of finish for the installation. 14 Series CSD Notes General Notes on perforance charts for single or ulti slot linear diffusers in this section. 1. All pressures are Pa (N/ 2 ). 2. Projection (throw) values in etres, are based upon the perforance of a one etre long active section. When only 300 is active, the values are 0.6 ties those shown. For a 3 etre long or continuous length, the values are 1.8 ties those shown. H : Horizontal projection : Miniu is to a terinal velocity of 0.75/s and axiu to 0.25/s. V : Vertical projection is to a terinal velocity of 0.25/s. 3. is the axiu width of the jet defined by the above velocities. 4. N.C. values are based upon horizontal projection fro a three etre active section and a roo absorption of 10dB re watts.vertical projection values are 11dB less than listed. 5. N.C. correction for length: Supply Return Figures for plenu-fed diffusers are for essentially zero inlet velocity. The velocity profile is relatively unifor for the length of the active section. 7. Figures for adaptor-fed diffusers take account of the effect of the adaptor and inlet neck on diffuser velocities which tend to be less unifor and produce a velocity profile of the shape shown in the Velocity-Throw Diagra to the right. The 0.25/s isovel generally shows a projection reduction at the centre of approxiately 25%.
