1 TLM R16 LED Module Product Specifications INTRODUCTION The TerraLUX TLM R16 LED module makes it possible to adapt existing MR 16 and other fixtures with minimal design effort and the lowest possible LED system cost. An integrated microprocessor based control system delivers key features such as LEDSense closed loop thermal control to adapt to any thermal conditions while maximizing light output and assuring long term lumen maintenance. Integrated dynamic transformer recognition (magnetic or electronic) simplifies design efforts and installations, and allows the use of standard cost effective halogen transformers. The result is superior light levels & light quality, full dimming control, and the reliability demanded by lighting designers and commercial applications all in a package that can quickly be integrated into existing product lines. 3 LEDSense TM OPERATION, THERMAL DERATING, & LUMEN MAINTENANCE The TLM R16 employs TerraLUX s patented LEDSense TM Thermal Management Technology to automatically ensure maximum light output in variable fixtures and operating conditions while guaranteeing long term lumen maintenance. LEDSense TM regularly measures the operating temperature and ensures compliance with a pre programmed temperature and drive current profile. This profile is based on the LED manufacturer s LM 80 data report and L70/35,000 hour lumen maintenance curves. LEDSense is always active, and will compensate for variation in thermal conditions due to heatsinking, ambient air, module positioning, or any other variable that affects the operating temperature. The Thermal De rating curve below identifies the relative light output that can be expected under various thermal conditions. The LEDSense TM Curve identifies the reduction in input power over temperature.
