1 charts HS 855 HD These calculations meet the requirements of ANSI B30.5 (incl. SAE J987 and SAE J765). The machine classification for lifting operations acc. ISO 4301/1 and /2 given by the manufacturer is A1 (Q1, U2). Please see also operating manual chapter 2 Machine classification where the state of loading (Q1) and the class of utilization (U2) is explained. All radii which are allowed show a rated, other length and radii are not approved. The load capacities are only applicable to machines standing on horizontal (tolerance 1%, 1%), solid and sufficiently supportive subsoil. ratings are based on the freely suspended load. There are different load charts for each length that vary according to the machine set-up (e.g. track width, ballasting, head). None of the loads shown exceeds 75% of the tipping load. The values shown on a grey background are load capacities that are limited by the structure of the machine. All values shown with a white background are tilting load values. The outreach is the radius measured between the centre of the slewing ring and the center of the load hook or the block. Different outreaches at the same result from different reevings. 2 HS 855 HD These load charts are only applicable to original LIEBHERR machine and components that are new and in perfect condition. Any form of damage, any modification or addition that has not been approved by LIEBHERR invalidates the following load capacities, which in such cases must not be applied. The self-erecting lengths depend on the ballasting and are listed in chapter 6 Assembling main of the operating manual. With a length of 144ft (44m) or more, intermediate tensioning of the is required. Only original LIEBHERR components may be used. The suspended hoisting ropes, the load hook/ block and the slinging equipment form part of the load. These weights must always be deducted from the value shown in the table. The per-meter weight of the rope is stated in the Certificate. The reeving should be selected in such a way that the max. rope pull is not exceeded. The tables below show the reevings and the associated maximum load capacities. The efficiency of the rope drive has been taken into account in these tables. The block should be reeved in accordance with the reeving diagrams in chapter 6 of the operating manual. To ensure that at minimum radius the block can always be lowered to the ground, the maximum possible reeving, which depends on the hoisting rope (rope length) used, must be checked. More details can be found in chapter 6 Cable reeving diagrams of the operating manual. The machine is approved for use in an outside temperature range from -20 C to +40 C. Dynamic effects due to hoisting and lowering of the load, ing, slewing, travelling and wind must be considered by the machine operator. The machine operator shall therefore reduce load ratings in order to take these conditions into account. Rated load capacities do not account for effects of wind on a suspended load or. Judgement and experience of the machine operator, job planners and supervisors must be used to compensate for affect of wind on the lifted load and by reducing ratings, reducing speeds or a combination of both. Local conditions have to be considered additionally (e.g. wind effects between and around buildings). As a guideline the following table shows rating reductions [% which shall be used as a minimum. For changing wind speeds an especially for gusts of wind the maximum wind speed must be used. For wind speeds between given values the maximum wind speed shall be taken. If a wind speed in excess of 44.7mph (20m/s) is expected or has been forecast, then the entire must be laid flat on the ground (see chapters 3 and 5 of the operating manual). The wind load applied in the load calculation is based on 0.7 square inch per lbs (1m²/t) of the load. If this ratio is greater for light loads with a large surface area, then the manufacturer should be asked to provide details of the reduced load capacities in advance. If additional loads (walkways, protective rails, rope guides etc.) are fitted to the, then this weight must be deducted from the load. The reductions of the load capacities and further restrictions for the use with the tip must be taken out of chapter 5 Crane operation of the operating manual. The machine operator and all other personnel who are involved with its operation must have read and understood the latest applicable ANSI code for mobile crane (ANSI B30.5). Travelling inevitably produces certain dynamic effects on the machine. For this reason a machine's load must always be reduced before the machine starts to travel. The load reduction should be calculated as follows: The lower value must be used. - 10% lbs (1000kg) The machine must only be moved very slowly (less than 0.9mph (0.4m/s)) and only when the subsoil is level and firm.
