3 TH BST OF BRITISH The art of the possible With many years of experience in the industry, Haztec offers a comprehensive range of lightbars and other visual and audible warning systems to suit any application. Our technologies are in use by the emergency and recovery services, and in a host of other industries, around the globe. Choose from a wide selection of lightbar lengths and lighting options including high output, low maintenance LD technology. Latest generation LDs, when correctly mounted and powered as part of a Haztec lightbar, typically offer a life of 50-60,000 hours, saving you time and money in the long run. LD technology also offers silent operation and no moving parts to wear out. Other built-in options include illuminated signs, speaker grilles and Haztec LD message signs. Please see pages 4 to 9 for more detail and a handy table showing what's available by lightbar. When integrated with one of the latest Haztec controllers, lightbars deliver a very powerful warning output with multiple flash patterns and synchronisation options, in addition to cruise, and high/ low power modes. Virtually any configuration is possible. C R65 certification The majority of our warning lights, beacons and lightbars are independently certified to C R65 (C65 or UN65) for light intensity and light dispersion to meet set conditions for Class 1 (night) or Class 2 (day and night) intensity levels for colour range and category. The regulation also includes water ingress protection testing. Look for the symbol in our literature for products which are certified to C65 or ask for our separate brochure. Warranty For your peace of mind, warranty is normally five years for LDs, three years for controllers and one year on all other items, unless indicated otherwise. Built to last All our lenses are manufactured from strong, UV stabilised polycarbonate. Bases are either anodised extruded aluminium alloy or UV stabilised polycarbonate (Xpert SL and XP minibar only). Screws, nuts and bolts are manufactured from stainless steel for longevity. We also hold comprehensive stocks, ensuring a fast turnaround on spares and other components. nvironmental testing Our lightbars are designed to operate in the harshest of environmental conditions. Using our in-house facilities we conduct corrosion and ingress protection testing for up to 1,000 hours in our salt fog chamber, ensuring products are fit-for-purpose in typically arduous environments. CR1 testing involves a minimum test cycle of 500 hours and CR2 a cycle of up to 1,000 hours, replicating the effects of many years of normal use. For normal environments, a CR1 rating is usually sufficient; for more challenging environments, such as where winter gritting is extensive, a CR2 rating may be more appropriate. In addition, our environmental test chamber allows us to test products over a wide range of constant and varying heat and humidity conditions, ensuring reliable, trouble-free operation in a variety of differing climates. 4 OPTIONAL LIGHTBAR QUIPMNT Available in a wide range of lengths, Haztec lightbars offer infinite configuration possibilities. Some of the most popular options are shown below - please also see page 9 for a handy reference table. Our experts will be happy to help with your enquiry - please contact us on: T: +44 (0) : info@haztec.uk Alley lights Mounted in the ends of the lightbar allowing areas to the side of the vehicle to be illuminated. Available in halogen or LD modules which offer a much lower power consumption and a longer working life of around 50,000 hours. Where internal space is limited, an underslung alley light is also available. Scene/takedown lights Mounted to the front and/or rear of the lightbar, scene or takedown lights provide a powerful white light to illuminate a work scene. Can also be programmed to flash as part of the warning light sequence. Headlights Mounted on the front and/or rear of the lightbar, headlights deliver white light to a work scene. Headlights typically incorporate an optical design that directs the light downwards. InfoSigns LD message signs display fixed or scrolling warnings using text and/or symbols. Messages are pre-programmed into a library and easy to select using a controller mounted in the vehicle. Centre signs A built-in illuminated sign can help provide advanced notification of the type of approaching hazard. Signs can also be used to promote corporate branding. Can be illuminated with either low cost tungsten or low maintenance LD lighting. Speakers and speaker grilles Most lightbars can accommodate an acoustic speaker or speaker with grille manufactured from polycarbonate or stainless steel. LD stop/tail/turn lights Built-in stop/tail/turn lights duplicate the vehicle's stop, tail and turn lighting, and can be especially valuable on vehicles where the rear lighting could be obscured. Lens inserts Strobe and halogen light sources generate white light. A coloured lens is then used to produce the required warning colour. Lens inserts allow a dual colour output to be generated. Where the lightbar incorporates LD technology, the LDs generate the coloured light, allowing clear lenses to be used and avoiding the need for lens inserts. Arrowbars Directional arrowbar functions can be built into many lightbars providing a choice of flash modes, including arrow and/or warning patterns and synchronisation options. 4

It can be supplied with either two or four corner LD modules, giving either front or rear, or full 360 degree coverage. In addition, one or two inner LD modules can be added to both the front and rear of the bar for additional warning capability. If a single inner module is added, it can be split to provide 'half and half' flashing operation, allowing symmetrical, side-to-side flashing. Alternatively, 2 x 360 degree LD modules can be fitted. A choice of LD scene/takedown lights is available which can be set for flashing mode for extra visibility, or to steady operation for scene illumination. A range of flash controllers allows functions such as front/rear switching to be included if required. Despite its compact size, the Xpert SL can also be fitted with an integral siren and speaker, which when combined with 4 x LD corner modules, provides an all-inclusive solution with 360 degree visibility, siren and speaker. Centre sections can contain coloured or clear lenses with inner lighting modules or can be opaque with or without an illuminated sign. The latest generation of Haztec controllers provides sophisticated flash patterns and functions such as cruise and dim mode to reduce output under low light conditions, in addition to arrowbar modes. The Xpert SLX offers a choice of LMS single and two colour LD modules, or intelligent ILMS single, two, three or four colour LD combinations. The Xpert SLX is designed for simple 'plug and play' operation, and can be controlled by programmable Haztec or customer supplied switching systems. CANbus and LINbus modules are also available. 17 XPRT SLX LIGHTBAR LMS lightbar (100-) configuration To configure your lightbar, choose from a range of end units, corner, inner and/or 360 degree LD modules, and ancillary options such as directional arrowbars and illuminated signs. nd units for 100- models are available in single colour 12, 16 or 24LD, or dual colour 24LD, four module units providing high light output to the sides, front and rear. (The standard version is the 12LD). Alternatively, the degree LD module is available. Lightbar inners can be left blank or configured with a choice of LMS and/or single row XM1/2 LD modules. Available in single or split colour combinations, XMs combine LDs with mirrors to give high light output at a cost-effective price. LD modules can function as a single colour warning or spot/ takedown, or combined warning and spot/takedown, alley light or arrow/warning light if the dual colour version is fitted. ILMS lightbar (101-) configuration ILMS lightbars feature a choice of 12, 24, 36 & 48LD end units offering two, three or four LD colour combinations which can include alley lights. As with the 100- Xpert SLX, inners can be left blank or light output enhanced with a choice of single, two, three or four colour LD modules. These can function as warning or spot/ takedown, or combined warning and spot/takedown if the multi-colour version is fitted. 18 LIGHTBAR MOUNTING KITS Haztec offers a wide range of lightbar mount kits, allowing different fixing possibilities to suit all vehicle types. Options include: Permanent mount: All Xpert, Xpert SLX and Xpress lightbars have a continuous channel in the underside of the extruded base. The mounting bolts slide along the length of this channel to align with the fixing holes and are then securely retained in the lightbar extrusion without the need for additional drilling. All screws and bolts are manufactured from stainless steel for longevity. Hook-on mount: hook-on mount kits avoid the need to drill mounting holes in the vehicle roof. Roof rail mount: a choice of two roof rail kits provide a further mounting alternative where there is a need to preserve the vehicle roof. Magnetic mount: Shorter length lightbars are also suited to magnetic mounting. The magnetic mount kit includes a 3 metre straight lead, switched plug and 4 x 40kg magnets with heavy duty, moulded rubber covers to preserve vehicle paintwork. Magnetic kits are wind speed tested to ensure they are fit for purpose. An optional quick release safety strap is available for added security. A heavy duty carry case is also available for the Xpert SL minibar; the case has velcro strips that hold it in place on carpet during transit. Permanent mount kits 9-000BK A simple permanent mount kit consisting of four 20mm high heavy duty rubber spacing adaptors and mounting bolts. The spacing adaptors fit between the vehicle and the bar. Supplied with mounting bolts that fix through the centre of the spacing adaptor DK 45mm high moulded rubber permanent mount kit secured to the vehicle and lightbar via concealed fixing bolts for neat appearance. Supplied as a pair of brackets SBK Heavy duty solid moulded rubber mounting kit consisting of two 41mm high rubber mounts and four mounting bolts. The bolt heads are inserted into the lightbar base extrusion and bolted to the vehicle. Slotted holes in the mounts make it easy to align with fixing holes SXBK As 9-000SBK but rubber mounts are 30mm high. Designed for use with Xpert SLX lightbars but also suitable for other lightbars PK Heavy duty stainless steel permanent mounting kit which raises the lightbar profile by 65mm to help prevent obscuration. Fixes to the vehicle via two bolts on each bracket and includes a substantial protective rubber spacer to prevent direct bracket contact with the vehicle finish and to stop the lightbar from sliding under wind pressure HPK As 9-000PK but kit raises the lightbar profile by 130mm.

19 LIGHTBAR MOUNTING KITS Hook-on mount kits 9-000HK hook-on kit Kit consists of a Z bracket that fixes to the lightbar and two separate clamps to fix against the door aperture. Clamps and Z brackets are held together by a bolt and locknut (supplied). The Z bracket supports the lightbar weight against the roof, whilst the clamps secure the lightbar in position. A substantial protective rubber spacer prevents direct bracket contact with the vehicle finish and stops the lightbar from sliding under wind pressure. Roof rail kits 9-000RK roof rail kit Roof rail fixing kit, consisting of four metal brackets each supplied with two heavy duty coachbolts and locknuts. The coachbolt head inserts into the lightbar extrusion and slides along the full length for ease of fixing. (Please note: roof rail fixings not included) RHK roof rail kit Kit of two heavy duty brackets designed to clamp onto a variety of modern profile roof rails. Levelling kits SOK levelling kit Kit of four brackets designed to clamp onto a variety of modern profile roof rails. Rail mounting bolts slide into the lightbar extrusion and, when tightened, secure the clamp against the rail LK levelling kit Levelling assembly which, working in conjunction with various Haztec mount kits, allows the lightbar to be angled by up to 12 degrees up or down, to compensate for sloping vehicle roofs. Supplied as a kit of two brackets with all necessary fixing bolts. Shown with 9-000SBK mount kit - ordered separately. 12/24V roof mount connector Please specify this length when ordering non push lock versions / roof mount connector Rugged weatherproof right-angled 8 or 12 pin connector with quick-release locking mechanism, suitable for powering lightbars that may need to be removed.
