This is a sound that we will come to hear a lot over the course of the day while the shadows from their wings glide over the floor below us, particularly along the shore. The view over to the water is like drawing one last deep breath before diving into the pulsing, busy streets of the pearl of the Bosporus. Istanbul, a city of mosques? Well, yes. A sculptor to be precise. She hosted our team at her Istanbul apartment for the Volkswagen Collection photo shoot. Of course, her career has also had a huge influence on the style of her home. Her sculptures provide a unique, sophisticated look: round, flowing, smooth shapes that you just want to run your hands over. Günnur Özsoy holds regular exhibitions at galleries in Istanbul and Ankara, along with a number of other European cities.
