1 A Community of the Future Initiative FAQ About the Mobility Service 1. Who can use the service? The service is currently available to TRC residents only. 2. Will drivers wait for you? Is there a limit on how long a driver can wait if you are running behind schedule? After waiting for five minutes, your driver will call you, then leave to pick up the next reservation. 5. What Bronzeville boundaries are you using? 35th Street to 55th Street, State Street to Cottage Grove. Please see map attached. 6. How many grocery bags can fit in the trunk? The car trunk holds four grocery bags. The trunk size may increase with larger models based on demand and usability. 7. Will a walker fit in the trunk? Yes. A standard metal walker will fit, but a walker with wheels may not. 8. How do I reserve a vehicle/ride? Call and our dispatcher will submit your vehicle/ride request. A walker will fit in the trunk. 9. Will the vehicle do round trips? Yes. When you request a ride, the dispatcher will ask if you need a ride back. You can schedule a round trip at that time.

2 10. How do I pay for rides? You can purchase ride cards on Tuesdays 10 am 12 pm and Fridays 1 3 pm at the TRC Management office. 11. Is there a way to get help in case of an emergency? The driver can provide assistance. 12. How are the drivers trained? Our drivers must pass a five-year criminal background check and have a five-year clean driving record. In addition, we jointly conduct test rides with drivers. 13. What is the timing of the pilot phases? How can I apply for a job? Please contact Katya Iwanik at Katya@innovauev.com or Why does the pilot include only one vehicle? For the pilot at the TRC Village, one vehicle is sufficient to provide a high level of service, gauge resident interest and gather feedback. It s too soon to say to what extent additional vehicles may be added in the future, but we ll explore that with our partners at some point next year. About the Dash 16. What is the Dash? The Dash is a 100 percent electric vehicle that s designed to connect quarter-mile, half-mile and one-mile gaps that exist in urban transportation systems. The Dash is ideal for filling those gaps and providing first/ last mile mobility in urban communities and on college campuses. 17. What is the mileage range and top speed of the Dash EV? The 100 percent electric Dash EV has a range of 150 miles per charge of its lithium-ion battery and a maximum speed of 35 mph. The Dash comes equipped with 4G LTE/Wi-Fi and app/cloud connectivity in addition to more than 40 built-in sensors that collect data about the cars performance and use.

3 18. How safe is the Dash? The Dash does not drive above 35 mph on any streets. The vehicle is very safe and has been crash tested at up to 50 mph. The benefit of the Dash is its aluminum frame egg structure, which has been developed specifically for the safety of Dash passengers and drivers. 19. In what other markets is the Innova EV Dash vehicle operating? Dash cars are in various stages of testing on colleges campuses such as the University of Wisconsin, University of Washington, Colorado State University, Ohio State and at the Metra station in Itasca, Illinois. ComEd s Role 20. What is ComEd s relationship to this pilot project? ComEd is sponsoring the pilot. During the past year we ve been collaborating with the Bronzeville Community Development Partnership, Innova EV and eluminocity U.S. to develop and launch this project. Now that we re here, we re excited to continue working together to learn about how this service works for the community and how this type of service may impact the grid in the future. 21. What is the purpose of the pilot? We are exploring the benefits, costs and community impacts of deploying plug-in electric vehicles for use by community residents as a first /last mile mobility solution. This project allows ComEd to study the charging patterns and customer acceptance of first/last mile electric transportation services to better understand the implications of this segment of the EV market on the grid. 22. What technical information does ComEd hope to gain from this pilot? ComEd wants to explore how the Smart Grid can facilitate the development and integration of electric vehicles in the ComEd service territory. This project will examine the ability to integrate electric vehicles in Smart Grid functions in a safe and cost-effective manner. We will explore how to manage electric vehicle charging intelligently, including how electric vehicle charging can be a tool to support grid reliability objectives. 23. Does ComEd anticipate sponsoring the Dash EV in other markets in Northern Illinois? We re eager to get this pilot underway to see what riders think about the service. We ll be in a better position to talk about other potential markets once this pilot is completed, and we ve had the opportunity to assess the results.

4 24. What is the connection between this project and ComEd s role as an electricity supplier for Northern Illinois? As electric vehicles grow in popularity, it s crucial that we plan ahead in order to cost-effectively accommodate the buildout of EV charging infrastructure. We need to prepare for the increased electricity demand and changing load patterns, and help develop Smart Grid solutions to effectively manage new EV load. Finally, as the way that people produce and use energy evolves, so must our role in serving our customers. In addition to being a provider of electricity, ComEd is leveraging the Smart Grid platform to facilitate the introduction of new services and products that will add value to our customers. Preparing for and supporting our customers interest in electric vehicles and researching ways to most cost-effectively integrate charging infrastructure are good examples of that. 25. How was the TRC Village selected to participate in this pilot? While collaborating with Bronzeville area residents and leaders, they recommended that we partner with TRC, based on its location, accessibility, size and the interests of the residents. It s important to understand that the Community of the Future initiative is a co-design process through which we are identifying the needs, interests and priorities for pilots that have the potential to enhance the quality of life. We believe that this pilot will demonstrate that.
