1 BILL 1 MAINS POWER DISTRIBUTION 2-1 ITEM DESCRIPTION QTY UNIT RATE AMOUNT Supply, install, test, commission and set to work the following: Free-standing purpose made front access sub main switchboard (Fully Type-Tested Assemblies TTA), modular, metal clad, manufactured in 12 SWG galvanised mild steel sheet and finished in cream (or appropriate colour) powder coating as shown on the schematic. The switchboard should consist of a PLC section. The switchboard to be as Merlin Gerin Switchgear or equivalent and approved, complete with the following:- (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) (g) (h) (i) (j) Space for Kenya Power s cut-outs. CTS and meters. The spaces to be provided with punched studs for installing Kenya Power s seals. Digital multimeter type PM820 with CTs and fuse protection capable of measuring voltage in the range V, 3-phase, current in the range A, 3-phase, and all power system parameters (KW, KVA, KWHr, KVArs, Frequency, P.F., harmonics and all the parameters). The multimeter to have an accessible terminal for connecting an external printer, and should be complete with selector switches for viewing/displaying the various parameters. 415V three-phase surge diverter as Furse ESP 415, wired as shown, complete with enclosure with viewing window. Set of neon phase presence indicator lamps 1 No. 800 A TPN MCCB main incomer type NS 800N with adjustable over current settings and having a short-circuit breaking capacity of 100KA at 415Vac, 50Hz. The MCCB to be adjustable in A range. The MCCBs to be motorized and have both electrical and mechanical interlock. 5 No. 1000A TPN insulated copper bus bars of 80 x 10 mm cross section. 3 No. Three phase direct Kenya Power meters, Kenya Power cutouts and CTs for Tenants Sufficient capacity for 4No. Meters above Kenya Power cutouts, and all the switch gear CT Chamber 1 No. 200A 3 P TPN motorized MCCBs as shown, but adjustable in the range A. The change-over contactors to be TELE-MECANIQUE, minimum rating 800A. A manual bypass system, rated at 800A TPN should also be provided across the change-over system and it must be capable of bypassing both mains and generator supplies in alternation. All the delay timers for pre-ignition, time to load, and return to mains supply to be provided. An actual setting to be agreed upon before main switchboard is assembled. Clear indicator lamps for mains available, mains on load, generator available, generator on load, together with corresponding permanent labels should also be provided. The change-over and by-pass system to be incorporated in the main switchboard assembly. (Note: The entire switchboard assembly to be Form 4, Type 2 i.e. totally safe with all live parts completely inaccessible on opening the outside cover) Total C/F to Page 2-3
