6 How to create value out of innovation 1) Create intellectual property 2) Deployment of innovation inside the existing business unit - Importance of the networking/ relationship between academic partners, industry, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise and start-up to insure a narrow relay towards the business units : Examples at EDF : Cluster Connexion and IPVF - Identify most upstream possible the innovations requiring a specific attention to secure their industrialization 3) Development of new business - Develop knowledge on the innovative start-up and on the possible investment to develop new activities 6 6
