2 INTRODUCTION Polymer materials for future mobility Since its invention, the automobile has met users permanently increasing mobility aspirations on the one hand, but, on the other, it has often anticipated users modes of transport and work, and even, to a certain extent, their ways of life. Since the beginning of the 21 st century, we have witnessed radical changes such as vehicle electrification and new modes of transport. Today, all our attention is focussed on connected, autonomous vehicles. Car-sharing, and autonomous, connected, electric cars will be the public and private means of mobility of the future. If shuttles are already in operation throughout the world, by 2025 we should see the mass arrival of 100% autonomous connected cars on the market. But this revolution will only be possible if we develop new technologies and, more especially, new materials. If you are interested in giving a paper, please use the form page 4 to submit your proposal with an abstract on an A4 page maximum (page 5) and send them already now, and by April 10, 2018 to chantal.sohm@sfip-plastic.org Polymer materials are being increasingly used in fields of transport and will need to raise a large number of new challenges: 1. For car-sharing > Durability, materials that are self-cleaning, antibacterial, self-healing, hypoallergenic, VOC-free, odourless, etc. 2. For alternative energy sources (electrification, hydrogen, etc.) > New electrolytes, energy storage solutions, recharging systems, etc. 3. For autonomous connected vehicles > Materials for and against electromagnetic effects, plastronics, wave-transparent materials and coatings which protect the vehicle against car-jacking at the same time, vehicle and infrastructure lighting and signalling, etc. For reviewing all the progress made on these new requirements and new challenges, the SFIP and the SIA have joined forces for organizing a congress called Polymer materials for future mobility, which will take place in Bordeaux on September 19 and 20, speakers Contact: chantal sohm // SFIP // chantal.sohm@sfip-plastic.org //

Have you already given this paper? And if so, where and when?... Useful information: 20 minutes will be allocated to each presentation and 5-10 minutes to questions/answers. Presentation speaking language: French or English. Slides in English (with maximum one slide dedicated to company presentation and one for portfolio). Attention: All companies selected by the organizers undertake to give the paper on the day of the congress. Our speakers are invited to the conference days including breaks, lunches and dinner (at their expense: travel and accommodation during the rehearsal and conference). In the case of a co-presentation (two speakers) of the same company, only one speaker is free of participation fees.
