6 Nottingham : Cycle City Nottingham City Council has secured 6.1 million from the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) process to invest in and kick start an overhaul of Nottingham's cycle facilities. 10 EV Charging Infrastructure Network 2m to fund up to 230 fast and rapid charge units : First phase will be mostly council owned sites across Nottingham Derby and Nottinghamshire In final procurement stages, points going in the ground later this summer Plus: Dedicated taxi network of 32 fast and rapid chargepoints NCC able to apply for on-street CPs in residential areas

13 ULEV Business Club support package 1 Grants for Workplace EV Charging Infrastructure Private sector workplaces can benefit from a grant of up to 25,000 Funding to be awarded on 75% basis with 25% contribution from the business (unless a Workplace Parking Levy liable business, where match will be exempt) Public sector organisations are not required to apply for a grant as Go Ultra Low Nottingham can provide full funding chargepoints on their sites.

14 1 Vehicle try before you buy scheme A lack of working knowledge of ULEVs can be seen as an obstacle to uptake. In order to overcome this, we will offer fleets the chance to operate ULEVs in their fleet on a trial basis. The try before you buy scheme will fund longer term loan vehicles to allow fleet managers to run ULEVs to assess their suitability for use on normal duty cycles.

15 3 Fleet reviews and advice To help vehicle fleets in Nottingham identify which conventional vehicles could be substituted for Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) The fleet review will help fleet managers understand: Costs Electric fleet potential Sustainability

16 4 Employer and staff events The scheme will offer fully funded workplace events to promote ULEVs and wider sustainable travel initiatives that Nottingham City Council are offering to businesses. These events will be bespoke to the end users, and be highly engaging for both management and staff in the organisation, with the aim of: increasing awareness providing details on grants available How GUL can help them

17 5 On going support and learning This element of the scheme will provide: Access to peer to peer support and learning through the Go Ultra Low Nottingham funded LEVEL Project. LEVEL (Low Emission Vehicle Enterprise and Learning) delivers skills training, knowledge transfer, business networking, master classes and conferences on a wide range of low emission vehicle technologies

18 Sustainable Travel Offer Our business support package will also offer: Demand led (business identification) problem solving, input and advice on work based travel, including Travel evaluation and staff travel survey results and development including an action plan Car parking management advice on own workplace parking, lack of parking, displaced parking, minimising WPL impacts Tax advice (Benefit in kind issues for EV s)/salary sacrifice - signposting to HMRC and and tax experts Signposting to providers for example public transport operators, Enterprise Car Club, Robin Hood Card/ticketing options, Liftshare, cycling service providers, EV charge point providers General information on sustainable transport offer in Nottingham

19 Business Offer - Next Steps Organisations should register interest through goultralow@nottinghamcity.gov.uk Nottingham City Council are currently procuring delivery partners for the chargepoint network and elements of the business support offer We hope to have the project up and running by late summer
