2 H2020 (ART ) L3Pilot large-scale piloting of SAE Level 3 functions, with additional assessment of some Level 4 functions 11 countries, 100vehicles, 1000 test drivers involved in the testing Tested functions cover wide range from parking to overtaking, and urban intersection driving. Cross-border tests are planned for automated driving systems on highways (e.g. traffic jam assist, highway assist) 34 (OEMs, suppliers, research, SMEs, insurers, authorities and user groups) Start and duration: September 2017 (48 months) Budget: 47 Mio (EC funding: 36 M ) 1
3 H2020 (ART ) BRAVE Multidisciplinary study of the requirements and expectations of drivers and other stakeholders regarding the use of automated vehicles Development of innovative HMI-paradigms in order to bridge the gap between users and automation technologies Enhance current ADAS by the inclusion of new predictive algorithms to increase the accuracy of vehicles and VRUs paths prediction to reduce the reaction time in emergency manoeuvres Guarantee system robustness and reliability under any possible scenario and condition Evolve validation protocols and propose advancements on the regulation or consumerist assessment. 10 partners from 7 countries (Australia, France, Germany, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United States) Start and duration: June 2017 (36 months) Budget/EC funding: 2.9 M 2

6 H2020 (ART ) INFRAMIX Road Infrastructure ready for mixed vehicle traffic flows Enable the coexistence of automated and conventional vehicles in specific scenarios Design, upgrade, adapt and test both physical and digital elements of the road infrastructure After an in-depth simulation phase, the outcomes will be assessed in real stretches of advanced highways in Austria and Spain.
