NTA Sales is putting in a joint order with Andrew Braddock/ LRTA. Andrew comments = The book is in Russian and English and runs to 424 pages, in full colour, with numerous tables and appendices. Every Russian Metro, Tram, Trolleybus, Monorail and Funicular system is included (with Crimea included) and for each city there is a fairly basic line diagram, with larger scale central area maps for the bigger places, plus operator, route and fleet details Our price 45. This is a 2 volume work, the first volume covering road vehicles ie buses and trolleybuses and the second rail ie trams. Total pagination is 530 and there are 400 photos. Many tables. Italian text. 6 2. A word about Brexit. We all know that Brexit means Brexit, just as Dog s Breakfast means Dog s Breakfast and Britain means Business, but what effect will Brexit have on NTA Sales, especially in respect of imports from Europe? Well, we don t know yet, (apart from Brexit means Brexit, see above). but one short term effect has been the fall in the value of sterling. This may increase the price we have to pay for imports from Europe, but we will aim to keep any increase in members prices as low as possible whilst remaining competitive and of course still making a profit for the NTA. Last month s Competition I did not really intend last month s question to be a trick one, but of the 8 entries received, half were for New Plymouth and half for Manchester. The question was What was the most Crossley system? The answer is of, course, New Plymouth ie: System Total Fleet Number of Crossleys. % Crossey Manchester New Plymouth John Zebedee sent the first correct entry. This month s Competition A straightforward one. I think: Identify the system, and the (rare) trolleybus shown. A prize for the first correct answer.
