Disconnect the right-angle DC plug on the power supply/charger from the battery pack by rotating the plug collar counterclockwise and pulling on the connector. 7. Disconnect the power supply charger from the 120 VAC source. BATTERY MAINTENANCE & TEMPERATURE The power supply/battery charger used with the Case Light is engineered to monitor the charging of the Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery packs and to prevent overcharging. The battery packs are also thermally protected to safeguard from overheating during charging. The user should charge the Ni-MH battery packs before first use and allow 3 to 5 cycles of charging and discharging to recover full capacity if stored for a long time. It is also suggested to rotate the battery storage - First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory and charge the batteries every six months if not in use. As temperature increases, the battery life decreases by Ni-MH self-discharging. Change the battery packs and store them at room temperature while not in use. It does not affect battery life it the units are stored fully charged or fully discharged. The worst storage temperature environment is the trunk of a car. 20
