Introduction: Thank you for your recent purchase of our 700 size MD500. This fuselage is made up of fiberglass and plywood formers. This is a great scale fuselage with working doors and door latches and plenty of room for a great scale cockpit. This helicopter fuselage is sure to bring you great joy with its amazing flight characteristics and scale appearance. AMA offers its chartered clubs official contest sanction, insurance, and assistance in getting and keeping flying sites. AMA is the voice of its membership, providing liaison with the Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Communications Commission, and other government agencies through our national headquarters in Muncie, Indiana. AMA also works with local governments, zoning boards, and parks departments to promote the interests of local chartered 2

4 FUSELAGE SET UP 1. Using Epoxy glue the tail section of the fuselage to the main body. Ensure that the slit in the tail section is on the bottom. This is where your tail push rod will be located. 5 INSTALLING THE MECHANICS 4. Glue the wood spacers together using epoxy. The amount of spacers will vary depending on what helicopter you are using for the fuselage. Install the mechanics in the fuselage and slide the tail control rod out the bottom slit in the tail cone section. 6. Slice the foam donut over the tail boom and inside the tail cone. The foam should be flush with the tail cone. Install the tail case for the mechanics and secure to the boom. 5

6 7. After the tail case is secured, mount the mechanics to the wood floor using the wood screws provided. FINAL STEPS 8. Install the beacon light to their locations and glue in place with CA. 9. Glue the windows in using canopy glue and being careful not to get any excess on the center portions of the window. 6

8 FLYING CHARACHTERISTICS Since this fuselage adds weight to the helicopter we advise that you do not attempt any 3D maneuvers to ensure the integrity of the helicopter. With the added weight the blades may come into contact with the fuselage and destroy the helicopter if any were attempted. The fuselage will make your helicopter look and fly more like the full scale helicopters, and that is how we advise you fly it.
