Validate the economic feasibility of a deployment scenario. 4
3 Examples of Use Road Hazard Warnings Wrong Way Vehicle Warning Contextual/Regulated Speed Limit Intelligent Speed Adaption Obstacle Warning (stopped vehicle, post crash warning ) 5 Expected Results 1. Quantification of the benefits in terms of Traffic and Safety 2. Identification by all stakeholders of a viable deployment scenario 3. Validation or evolution proposals of "Car to Infrastructure"ETSI standards and Applications 4. Test and development of qualification tests to ensure interoperability 5. Choice of technical architectures and detailed assessment of deployment costs associated with of a "package" of services 6
4 Technological Challenges The project must demonstrate: The seamless" Integration of heterogeneous communications technologies. The integration of services. The compliance of the equipment to standards. The Interoperability. The main difficulty is the necessary coordination of many actors in a scenario of industrialization requiring large investments. 9 COFIROUTE Test Site on the A10 Highway 90 km «A section of the motorway network operated by Cofiroute: dual3 lanes carriageway, from St-Arnoult toll plaza (PK 24) to Orléans junction (PK 100) of the A10 motorway, south west of Paris. a total of 7 interchanges and receives more than vehicles per day with about 15% of trucks. A 1.7 km tunnel operated by Cofiroute: dual 3 lanes carriageway, for passenger vehicles and trucks, in Angers on the A11 motorway (PK260) 17
