To establish your full requirement, use the correct module prefix from the BLF chart, then determine: Supply preference: module and battery as separates, or integral module kit (remote kits are to special order) Battery configuration for integral conversions: 'stick' battery types are available as standard; 'side by side' batteries are to special order - contact Thomas & Betts for further information The final product order code can then be established from the product table, right. Conversion notes 1. All emergency lighting conversions should be undertaken in accordance with relevant national requirements and codes of practice, including ICEL Converted luminaires should comply with EMC and Low Voltage Directives in order to carry the CE mark. 3. 4 Batteries Existalite ZV conversion modules can be supplied with advanced high temperature Nickel Cadmium (NiCad) batteries which, when properly installed in compliance with the EN product standard, are designed to give a minimum of 4 years service life. Batteries are available in a range of configurations for optimum use of space within the luminaire. Side by side battery sticks of the same size (e.g. 2 x 2 cell, 2 x 3 cell etc.) can be slotted together by the end caps, permitting batteries to be fixed using only 2 screws. 5 Existalite ZV 4-pole self-contained emergency lighting conversion module Ballast Lumen Factor (% of normal lamp output lumens) The chart shown right establishes the ballast lumen factor of Existalite ZV integral conversion modules and remote conversion kits. A range of modules is available, to ensure optimum starting and operation of the various fluorescent lamp types and wattages available, for best long-term lamp performance. The required number of battery cells for each lamp is also shown. To select the correct module, cross reference the lamp type to be converted with the relevant module code prefix to achieve the stated BLF (e.g. ZV3FA module prefix converts a 51 W T8 lamp to emergency use, with 3 hour duration and providing a BLF of 6%). Once the module prefix is established, your full order requirement (either as separates or kits) can be determined using the product selection table, shown over the page.
