3 COMPACT small on the outside, big on the inside Two CA 50 Compact motors driving the 6 metre long rotor which strips and prepares the road surface. The robust design and simple control are ideal for the tough environment encountered within Road Construction, one of many areas where a Compact motor could be of benefit. The Compact motor extends our wide range of hydraulic motors which provide direct hydraulic drive and most often eliminates the need of a gearbox. The Compact motor has been designed to give outstanding power performance compared to other motors in it s class. Like the Viking and the Marathon motors, the Compact is a radial piston type motor. It has a rotating shaft and a stationary housing. But, as the name suggests, the Compact is smaller with high power density and a wide speed range. The Compact motor is designed for easy installation and a minimum of maintenance. It s compact dimensions and low weight provides an extraordinarily high power to weight ratio. This means great performance, leading to higher productivity. The Compact can be adapted to most customer needs and mounted in many ways. The hole through the motor centre can be very useful in certain applications. The Compact is tough and insensitive to shock loads. It has got everything you can expect from a Hägglunds Drives motor high starting torque, wide speed range, shock resistant, easy to install and easy to maintain. This motor comes with many accessories to improve application such as brakes, valves, torque arms, brackets, encoders etc. The number of basic sizes in the Compact motor series is five. Each size with a choice of displacements and other options, including tandem mounting and special designs for good volume business.
