2 TRU-VISION PLASTICS INC. is a Christian based, privately held company founded in June With forty years of combined management experience and over fifty years of combined production experience, along with extensive equipment and material knowledge, we are an innovative company. We created and manufacture the patented Visor Cover and Stic- N-Pic retail merchandising display strip system. It is through this experience, innovation and skillful ability in design and engineering that we are able to work with our customers to develop products to meet their needs. An example of this innovation and skill is realized in a custom face shield we developed and manufactured for a Fortune 500 aluminum products manufacturer. They desired a safety visor which provided additional throat and ear protection over the conventional safety visors they had found available in the marketplace. They called upon Tru-Vision to assist them in developing a shield especially designed for their employees. A safety visor was developed and manufactured meeting their requirements with a cost savings comparable to the cost of the visor previously used. Brenham, TX Our new manufacturing and warehouse facility measures over 80,000 square feet which allows for our continued growth and innovation. 4 Product Information/ Face Shield Face shields should be used in conjunction with primary eye protection devices (spectacles or goggles) designed for your work application. When properly installed, face shields are protective devices designed to shield the wearer s face and portions thereof, in addition to the eyes, from certain hazards. Face shields provide only limited protection from flying particles and splash or spray of hazardous liquids. PETG face shields conform to ANSI Z American National Standard for Occupational and Educational Eye and Face Protection. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration requires that eye and face protection devices used must comply with this standard (29 CFR (b)). Tru-Vision s PETG face shields ARE NOT shatterproof. Large objects and/ or objects traveling at high speed which strike these face shields may break or penetrate the visor and cause injury to the wearer s face or eyes.. Tru-Vision offers a High Impact face shields for higher impact requirements. face shields conform to ANSI Z American National Standard for Occupational and Educational Eye and Face Protection. If you are not certain which eye protection device to use, refer to your ANSI manual or your company Safety Specialist. Be certain that any equipment that creates a potential hazard from flying particles, chemical splash or molten metal is equipped with appropriate machine guards and safety devices Tru-Vision offers a Medium and a Dark Green tinted face shield along with Shade 3 and Shade 5 shields. Our Medium Green and Dark Green are available in PETG and depending on your impact needs. Due to the reduced luminous transmittance of tinted visors, wearers could be exposed to increased levels of UV and IR radiation due to pupillary dilation. Tinted lenses are intended to be used for antiglare. The Medium or Dark Green tint is not equivalent to any shade number and must not be used for torch cutting or mig welding. Visors and lenses meeting the requirements on the ANSI standard for green tinted face shields do not provide UV and IR protection and wearers could be exposed to potentially harmful levels of radiation. Filter lenses with shade numbers provide protection from the Ultraviolet (UV) and Infrared (IR) radiation that is associated with these operations. If you need Ultraviolet (UV) or Infrared (IR) protection when torch cutting or mig welding, then Tru-Vision offers both Shade 3 and Shade 5 face shields. Our Shade 3 and Shade 5 material is only offered in high impact. Our Shade 3 and Shade 5 face shields meet the requirements in the ANSI Z American National Standard for Occupational and Educational Eye and Face Protection for Shade 3 and Shade 5 face shields only. Higher shaded face shields are required for higher UV and IR operations, and are not currently offered by Tru-Vision. If you are not certain which eye protection device to use, refer to your ANSI manual or your company Safety Specialist. Inspect the product frequently and replace worn or damaged parts immediately. Care shall be taken to recognize the possibility of multiple and simultaneous exposure to a variety of hazards. Adequate protection against the highest level of each of the hazards must be provided. Face shields are not intended to provide protections in environments that expose the user to open flames or high-energy arcs. Our HHALBV bracket is made out of aluminum making it much more rigid and stiffer than the plastic Peltor bracket and clips. The HHALBV also has three positions that the visor can be placed in as compared to 2 positions on the 3M Peltor bracket.
