7 BELL 206 B III - EMERGENCY PROCEDURES ENGINE FAILURE - Enter autorotation immediately TAIL ROTOR CONTROL FAILURE Complete Loss of Thrust - Close throttle - Enter autorotation - Maintain minimum airspeed 50 knots (58 mph) Fixed Pitch Failure - Adjust power to minimise excessive yawing - Adjust airspeed to minimise excessive yawing FUEL CONTROL/GOVERNOR FAILURE - Control power with Throttle if engine overspeeds - Maintain RPM with collective pitch if engine underspeeds - Establish autorotation if power is too low or engine must be shut down - Prepare for power-off landing HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FAILURE - Reduce airspeed to knots (70-80 mph) - HYD BOOST c/b: ON (OFF if power is not restored) - Land as soon as practical and investigate - (A run-on landing at knots (12-17 mph) is recommended GENERATOR FAILURE - Cycle GENerator switch. If power is not restored: OFF - All electrical equipment: OFF (to conserve battery) - Required electrical equipment: ON (only as needed) - Reduce altitude to below 6000 feet (1830 m) BOOST PUMP FAILURE - Descend to below 6000 feet (1830 m) CAUTION : UNUSABLE FUEL: 10 U.S. GALLS (38 LITERS) ENGINE FIRE DURING FLIGHT - Close throttle - Enter autorotation immediately - FUEL VALVE switch: OFF - BATTery switch: OFF - GENerator switch: OFF - Execute autorotational landing Version /16
