2 Battery Testers Avoid Costly Downtime For a variety of reasons, batteries lose capacity over time. Determining a battery s true capacity cannot be accomplished by simply measuring the voltage of the battery or its cells, even under load conditions. The only reliable method of determining battery capacity is to measure the time the battery takes to discharge into a known load. 3 Battery Testers Key Features & Benefits True Capacity Measurement Measures the time it takes to discharge the battery in a known load. Versatile Discharge Settings Settings to discharge at either a constant current (RH1 & RH2), constant power or constant resistance rate (RH2 only). Self-Powered Powered from the battery being tested (requires no connection to AC power grid). Easy to Operate Intuitive, easy-to-use interface that allows all parameters to be set and stored in memory. Wide Operating Range Accommodates a wide range of battery voltages and chemistries. Continuous Protection Allows a temporary battery to be connected to provide protection during testing. Automatic Operation Automatically finishes test when battery voltage has reached a preset absolute voltage or % of initial discharge voltage. Failsafe In the event of a failure, its normally-closed electro mechanical relay defaults to connect the battery to the charger. The load path is fused to protect the system in the event of a short circuit.
