What s so great about the Boomer M2 Battery? It s Clean The electric drive eliminates diesel emissions and minimizes the need for ventilation. It s Flexible Thanks to the onboard charging there is no need for stop and charging. The Boomer M2 Battery will charge during drilling and you can go directly to next face when finished drilling. It s Productive Large battery capacity and powerful motors provide the capacity to outperform diesel machines in most applications. It s Smart Like all Atlas Copco equipment. 3 The battery is easily lifted from the top and thanks to its low position it s not affecting the visibility from the machine. Thanks to the large onboard battery the Boomer is able to perform long tramming distances between each face. Feed upgrades significant improvements in reliability Thanks to the robust and reliable BUT 36 booms, the Boomer M2 Battery has the same excellent multi capabilities as the diesel version. Our new rock drill COP MD20 has 10% more percussion power, 60% longer service intervalls and class leading hose life. New cabin ROPS and FOPS-certified for added safety (optional) Thanks to onbard charging possibilities there is no need to stop the machine to charge it. When contemplating what to focus on with the Boomer M-series upgrade, we utilized customer-focused workshops, site visits and feedback from operators and service technicians to identify what equipment areas should be enhanced. + Zero emission Thanks to its large electrical motor and battery, the Boomer M2 Battery is able to perform long tramming in challengeing conditions without any emission at all. This means a safer working environment underground with better air quality. At the same time the drill rig will charge the battery while drilling the face so there is no need to stop for charging during tramming. All this has been achieved without changing the size and usability of the machine. + COP MD20 - More productive and more robust The new generation of rock drills are more durable than ever, with improved penetration rate, drill steel economy, up to 30% less RDT consumption, less vibrations, higher hydraulic efficiency, up to 15% faster penetration rate than closest competitor and a recommended service interval of impact hours. This means more uptime, increased productivity and lower running cost. + Safe bolting boom function The Boomer M-series is unique in the mining and construction world because it offers a safe bolting boom function for the semi-mechanized installation of rock bolts. Due to the design of the BUT 36S booms and the side platforms on both sides of the operator station, it is possible to swing the feed all the way back to a position where the operator can safely load bolts into the feed without having to pass in front of the machine into areas with an unsupported roof.
