4 Autonomous ferries for Danish crossings how to implement? Bjørn Moving, Development Specialized Vessels, Odense Maritime Technology For several years it has been considered to standardize the local ferries in Denmark but this has not proven possible in practice. Yet with an increased interest from politicians to have flexible and frequent local ferry services with environmentally friendly vessels, the foundation is now here to implement modular ferries that can pave the way for autonomous operation. OMT has in collaboration with other parties developed a concept that makes modular ferries with autonomous operation accessible in a very near future. OMT intends to built a test- and replacement ferry for that purpose. AL? 4

8 Replacement Ferry The replacement ferry shall be fitted for most of the existing shore berths Dismountable car ramps will be arranged for the replacement ferry and bow shape to be considered in connection with this. 8
