5 DRY TYPE FURNACE TRANSFORMERS Dry type transformers are advantageous compared with oil filled transformers. They avoid the perceived fire risk of oil filled transformers and thus be accommodated inside a building or even on the roof of an office block Dry type transformers is of low maintenance and high reliability Isolation Transformers Isolation Transformers are separate primary and secondary winding are intended to convert the input voltage to a more useful level and attenuate the passage of noise or transients from primary to secondary by the way of copper shielding between primary and secondary. Ultra Isolation Transformers will suppress all type of electrical noise predominantly common mode noises and normal mode noises since it isolates primary and secondary are separates neutral to ground bound on the secondary side, can be used to create separately derived source to fight current loops. 6 DISCHARGE REACTORS PRINCIPLES Discharge Reactors satisfy the requirement for permanently connected discharging devices and for a discharge time of a few seconds Because of its high AC resistance discharge reactors generates extremely low loss during operation of the capacitor. To block Harmonics. To protect capacitors in Reactive current balancing systems. To reduce dv dt values in Drive Systems.
