1 US 67 WIDENING PROJECT From Belt Line Rd. to I-20

2 History & Background The US 67 improvements from Belt Line Rd to I-20 were originally part of TxDOT s Southern Gateway project, studied as part of the Environmental Assessment that received a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) in Through public input from the cities of Duncanville and Cedar Hill the project scope was revised in 2015 and was determined to be best built as a separate project. Original project scope included a reversible managed toll lane, current project scope does not include reversible managed toll lanes. 2

3 Purpose and Need The goal of the US 67 Project is to: Increase Capacity Manage Traffic Congestion Improve Operations and Local Access 3

4 Project Location US 67 from Belt Line Rd. to I-20 4

5 Project Overview Project let in May 2017 for a bid amount of $59,011,998. Increase mainlanes from 4 to 6, constructed by widening to the outside of the existing pavement. Reconstructing and relocating additional ramps to facilitate increased operations and local access. Cities of Duncanville and Cedar Hill requested local intersection improvements. The project plans include the following: U-turn bridges at Belt Line Rd. and FM 1382 intersection Various warranted turn lanes and lane re-assignments at intersections Proposed warranted traffic signal at Wintergreen Rd. Construction began September 25, 2017 Anticipated Construction Completion: Fall 2019 Project includes 9 Milestones 5
