4 EQUIPMENT AND CODES 02 DETERMINE THE SEAT DEPTH (SD) SEAT DEPTH On the wheelchair From the front edge of the backrest to the front edge of the seat system (seat upholstery, solid seat, padded seat). The measure is taken in the middle of the seat. On the client Thigh length, measured from the back to the hollow of the knee minus two finger s width. Note Different back systems as e.g. the adjustable backrest or a solid back change the real seat depth.
