4 General UNICON fast connection system The product The German UNICON fast connection system has been developed to facilitate the erection of buildings in record time by saving up to 20 % of total construction costs. The UNICON system, for which a wide international patent family is granted, will allow a simultaneous coupling not only of the building elements, but of all the systems integrated within them, such as heating and electrical installations. Features It is saving costs: the shorter assembly time and a higher productivity in precast represents a huge potential cost saving. the construction period is enormously reduced; service installations are prefabricated and incorporated more swiftly; and building firms are less dependent on subcontractors. It ensures a higher level of quality: all components and services are installed at works to a constant quality level and with comprehensive quality controls; and the risk of accidents on site is reduced. It is environmentally friendly: building sites are cleaner; waste products are avoided on site; and even the reuse of components is simplified by the scope provided for a damage-free dismantling and removal of elements. Application Using the UNICON connection technology, it will be possible to achieve a new quality benchmark in precast buildings by saving money at the same time. It is a simple technology even for subcontractors and suppliers of components which can work collaboratively to provide precast system modules. Ready for plug & play. 2

5 Overview of types for superior solutions... POWERCON and POWERCON - Multi Multitasking connectors can be used single or added in various building elements like walls, ceilings, roof-panels. Where a number of runs for different media have to be linked, the connection units can be installed in a row. For the simple use of only mechanical connections between walls, the so called POWERCON connectors made of solid steel will make mechanical jointing and can take loads up to several tons, depending on the reinforcement. The latest POWERCON Multi connector enables to take tolerances up to 20 mm in several directions. BASECON BASECON connectors made of fibreglass added polyamide are the base of the UNICON-System. They can be used for concrete wall constructions as shown as well as for ceiling or roof slabs. AQUACON und ENERCON connectors are based on the BASECON geometry and can be fixed with spax screws in wooden construction or with metric screws when used in concrete molds with M6 anchors. ENERCON For the ENERCON connector, plugs and sockets have been developed for electricity from 12 up to 400 Volts. The German VDE quality and security approval is granted. Telephones, computer and data lines, TV, and other special wiring can be easily installed with a system adapter. AQUACON AQUACON connectors are developed for liquid media such as drinking water and heating or cooling pipes. This water connector is gasketed and tested with a triple o-ring system. The German DVGW quality approval is pending. Any kind of piping system can be easily connected by a ½ inch inside thread. SANICON All bigger diameters for waste water or air condition are connected by the SANICON connector. There is a connector for 50 mm and for 90 mm piping systems. The German DVGW quality approval is pending. Assembling accessories for the easy and precise installation in the precast concrete units including screws and anchors are also delivered. 3 UNICON - universal connections

6 Consulting & Design UNICON Consulting With a team of experts, H-Bau supports all customers who are interested in testing UNICON in their projects by offering project consulting to reach best practise in using UNICON system components. We want UNICON customers to reach highest efficiency and quality in entire production and construction process. As requested H-Bau is offering product introduction as a workshop for their customers to produce first sample units in the customer`s production area. Furthermore H-Bau is offering project-consulting to precast factories and builders to reach higher efficiency and cost reduction by using UNICON technology in the entire planning-, production- and construction process. Prefab consulting includes optimisation of precast panels and construction details using UNICON. 4

10 Type Powerclip UNICON type Powerclip hook spanner anchor sleeve Click POWERCLIP connectors made of zinced solid steel will make invisible mechanical connection and can take load up to several tons, depending on the anchor system and the reinforcement. Once they are connected, the height can be adjusted with a hook spanner. One turn will lift the foot about 10 mm. So the POWERCLIP can also be used to screw two parts together and fix them invisible. The steelconnectors secure the wall construction against lifting forces depending on the anchoring and installation situation and take the loads from earth pressure in basement walls.
