When charging the cable should be routed to ensure that there is no risk of condensation or water going into the socket The distance from the window depends upon the curtains used but is normally 55-75mm to the centre line of the track. 32mm 55-75mm 2mm Motor 25mm 21mm 23mm When deciding on a fixing position avoid any hidden cabling. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician. Track Installation - Tools For The Job Drill, Hammer, Screwdriver, Spirit Level, Tape Measure, Detector, Pencil, Tape, Masonry Bits

3 Track Installation - Bracket Choice Top fix with 1/4 turn Top fix with twist plate Wall fix with bracket Track Installation - Bracket Position Having decided which brackets to use and where the track is to be mounted check for hidden pipes and cables using a detector. Draw a level line on the ceiling, wall or batten at the position you wish to fit your track. For ceiling fix 1/4 turn brackets mark the ceiling at the centre line of the track noting at all times the bracket spacing. For ceiling twist plates, fit the plates to the track, noting the bracket spacing, and offer the track up into position and mark through the plates. Track Installation - Fixings Your system is ready assembled for easy fixing. The pack contains everything you need to fix the track to a wooden batten however if fixing directly to a wall or ceiling, appropriate fixings, for example wall plugs may also be required. Here is an example of common wall fixings for both solid and plasterboard walls and ceilings. 4 Track Installation - Bracket Fixing Masonry & Plasterboard Fixing To make holes in masonry, you'll need a power drill with hammer action, such as a combi or hammer drill, and masonry bits. Choose wall plugs, screws and a drill bit of the same size - although you might like to use a smaller drill bit first to produce a pilot hole. Safety first Never drill into a wall without checking first for hidden pipes and cables using an multi detector. Don't risk a flood - or worse, electrocution. Step 1 Having decided where the brackets are to be fitted and with the holes marked, make one final check for hidden pipes and cables using a detector. Step 2 Choose the correct size of plugs and drill bits for your screws. Opt for wall plugs specifically designed for use in plasterboard if you are drilling into a stud (rather than masonry) wall. Step 3 Hold the plug up to your drill and mark its length on the bit with some tape. You'll need to drill into the wall slightly deeper than the length of the plug. Step 4 Use your drill on a hammer setting to drill the hole. Keep the drill square to the wall and hold it steady, or you'll end up with a wonky hole. Step 5 The wall plug should be a tight fit, but you only need finger pressure to put it in. Lightly tap the plug with a hammer to level it with the wall, if you need to. This is now ready for you to securely screw into. Step 6 Place the screw through the hole in the bracket and into the wall plug. Tighten the screw firmly until the bracket is held tight. Where a twist ceiling bracket is used the brackets are first fitted to the track. Also ensure the Pot Hooks are fitted * see the section on Pot Hook Fitting. The screw is then placed through the hole in the bracket and the whole assembly is mounted.

5 Track Installation - Pot Hook Fitting The pot hook is designed to be another ring for the curtain to attach to. Its purpose is to support the curtain as it is wrapped around the Motor / Idler to help conceal the end of the track. The Pot Hook The drive unit and the idler has slots to accept the Pot Hook s. The Pot Hook simply clips into the desired slot before the track is installed Track Installation - Track Fitting (Wall Or Ceiling 1/4 Turn Brackets) Once the brackets are mounted, ensure the 1/4 turn bracket is in the unlocked position. With the Pot Hooks fitted and with the motor removed, offer the track up to the bracket. Twist the bracket by a 1/4 turn clockwise (looking up from the underside of the track) until it locks into the track and the lever is flush with the front. 6 Fitting / Removal Of Gliders The Eazidraw track comes ready assembled with the correct number of gliders, based on the length of track. To add or remove gliders follow these simple steps With the motor removed loosen the screw on the end stop(s) 2. Slide the end stop(s) off the track 3. Feed the gliders through the gap and onto the rail. For wave gliders ensure the cord is straight and that the gliders are not twisted Refit the end stop(s) and tighten the screw Motor Installation / Removal Once the track is installed the motor should be fitted. Do not fit the motor before locating the track Motor installation 1 2 3/4 5 1.Put the motor shaft into the drive unit 2.Push the locking pin into place Motor removal 3. To release the battery depress the battery clip and pull off the battery Lithium battery lock position Insert smoothly

8 Charging - The Basics The battery motor must be charged prior to use. Do not use the charger if the battery or the charger is damaged, Do not leave the charger permanently connected to the battery / motor or unattended Do not disassemble the Li ion battery pack Do not charge in wet or damp areas Charging The Battery (Removed From The Motor) Charge point Plug the charger outlet directly into the battery pack charging point. 2 Plug the charger into a regular mains socket Red Light = Charging Green Light = Charged not leave the charger permanently connected to the battery! Do / motor or leave unattended Rechargeable battery Charger Charging The Battery (Whilst Connected To The Motor) Slide the protective cover off the motor / battery and plug the charger outlet directly into the motor charging point. 2 Plug the charger into a regular mains socket Red Light = Charging Green Light = Charged not leave the charger permanently connected to the battery / motor or! Do unattended Charge point Removable cover Charger Battery Life As the battery nears the point where it needs charging the motor transmits 5 audible beeps whenever the curtain is instructed to either open or close. The curtain will still operate but at a reduced speed. If the voltage becomes too low the motor will not operate but will beep. It will not be possible to operate the curtains again until the battery is fully charged. Do not leave the charger permanently connected to the motor as the life cycle of the battery will be adversely affected.

9 Pairing The Transmitter (s) Before setup can commence you will need to pair the transmitter with motor. Each motor can accept up to 16 transmitters or transmitter channels. It should be noted that different transmitters may have slightly differing layouts and functions. Follow the instructions below for each transmitter used. Setting the remote control channel Select required channel Press [Channel Choose Left] (or [ Channel Choose Right]) button to select the required channel. Entering into setting mode Press [Setting] button on the underside of the motor for 3 seconds. The light will come on steady Pairing the transmitter Confirmation Within 10s of entering into setting mode, use Press the [Setting] button on the underside of the motor to store the code. The light a sharp pen to press the [Program] button in the back of the transmitter. The light on the motor will go out on the motor will flash Erasing All Transmitters From The Motor Should a transmitter become lost or damaged or simply you wish to change the configuration of the system it is possible to delete all transmitters from the motor. The following instruction deletes ALL transmitters from the motor. Deleting remote control channels Entering into setting mode Delete remote control channels 7S Press [Setting] button on the underside of the motor for 3 seconds. The light will come on steady Press [Setting] button on the underside of the motor for 7 seconds. The light will go out to indicate all transmitters have been deleted

10 Checking The Running Direction The Down button on the transmitter should close the curtains and the Up button should open the curtains. To correct the running direction. Change direction setting Enter into setting mode Send the current change Confirmation direction code Press [Setting] button on the underside of the motor for 3 seconds. The light will come on steady. Press the [Stop] button and [Channel Left] button on the transmitter simultaneously until the light on the motor flashes, then release. Press [Setting] button on the underside of the motor and the light goes off. Setting The Track End Stops Due to the Intelligent Installation characteristics of the Eazidraw Cordless Pro motor, setting limits is done automatically. Hand Start Control The Eazidraw curtain system has a hand start function, i.e the motor will start when the fabric is pulled. This function is turned on when the system is delivered. This function can be turned On or Off as required Use touch control fuction Activate the function Confirmation Press [Stop] and [Open] button for 4 seconds Press [Program] button on the back until the light on the motor comes on of the transmitter with a sharp tip for 3s. The motor light goes off - function is now activated.

11 Hand Start Control Cancel touch control function Cancel the function Confirmation Press [Stop] and [Close] button for 4 seconds Press [Program] button on the back until the light on the motor comes on of the transmitter with a sharp tip for 3s. The motor light goes off function is now cancelled.

12 External Network Control The Eazidraw curtain system has a dry contact interface for external switch or network control. The motor can be set in either of the three operating modes described below Three button control Hold to run Dry contact interface Two button control Three button control Two button control Push to run Changing the control modes Cycling through the control modes Enter into setting mode Press [Setting] button for 3 seconds until the light comes on Send the control mode Press [open] & [close] button the motor quivers a few times Confirmation Press the [Setting] button again to confirm the operation

13 Your Three Year Guarantee It is important to retain the invoice as proof of purchase along with these instructions. All products are individually tested before leaving the factory. In the unlikely event of a fault please contact the helpline number or our customer services. You may be asked to return a copy of proof of purchase. Subject to the exclusions set out below, the faulty goods shall be repaired or replaced and despatched within 7 days of receipt. If for any reason, the item is replaced during the 3 year guarantee period, the guarantee on the new item will be calculated from the original purchase date. Therefore it is vital to retain the original invoice to indicate date of original purchase. To qualify for the 3 year guarantee the unit must have been used according to the instructions provided. The curtain track is intended for household use only. The fault has been caused or is attributed to accidental damage, misuse, negligent use or used contrary to the manufacturers recommendations. 2. The appliance has been used on a voltage supply other than that stamped on the product or a supply from a non fixed source is used. 3. Repairs have been attempted by persons other than our service team. 4. The unit has been used for hire or non domestic purposes. 5. The unit is secondhand Transmitter batteries are not covered by guarantee. This guarantee is offered in line with our terms and conditions which are available to download off our website.
