Feed is stored in a galvanized Brock Chore-Time silo from a large range of options. Feed is conveyed from the silo into the shed via FLEX-AUGER, a coreless auger system. The FLEX-AUGER is driven by a direct drive power unit. The direct drive unit/feed head is mounted above the stainless steel feed trays, this drops feed directly down to the cows. The industrial motor on the feed dispenser rations feed out to each cow this is the motor will turn on/off for every cow. As each bail passes by, each cow is fed a rationed amount. Detection sensors will pick up any empty bails and any cows doing double laps, these will automatically not feed the meal - SAVING MONEY! Molasses can be added on as an option, these are controlled by the PLC unit so all the features of the feed system will also be applied to the additional equipment fitted. The touch screen control unit allows the farmer to very easily make feed rate adjustments and importantly allows a very high degree of accuracy compared to anything else on the market such as simple cross auger system delivering feed to the cow.

4 Hopper Feed Silos Chore-Time has been providing silos to the industry since 1957 and led the way in updating its silo design to include features that provided solutions to common industry problems, Chore-Time s Feed Silos continues to feature the strength, quality and design that result in a silo you can count on for years of reliable service. Hoppers are available in 45, 60 and 67-degree angles to match user requirements based on the feed type to be stored. Roofs feature a 40-degree angle for maximum filling and to make the fill hole more visible Chore-Time s Feed silos are manufactured to exacting quality standards in their own factory. Body Sheets are formed with the standard 68- mm corrugation from long-lasting, galvanised steel in gauges ranging from 8 to 20. Silo lids, collars, hopper sheets and roof panels receive the same careful attention as the body sheets. All parts are manufactured to engineering design specifications and quality checked to ensure hassle-free assembly and use. Bin legs are fabricated from heavy, galvanised steel to make a column-like structure formed with six separate bends for added strength. Sturdy ladder system is attached to both the silo roof and side wall and a non-skid top surface as well as an opening on the underside to eliminate moisture accumulation within the rung. Silos are assembled using high-strength Grade 8.2 silo seal bolts with a special JS-1000 weather-resistant coating. Optional polypropylene-encapsulated head bolts provide enhanced corrosion resistance.

Giant 40-ich (1016mm) fill hole features a rigid 24-inch (610-mm) diameter center ring to accommodate most auxiliary equipment Every roof is supplied with a large people-friendly obround shape manhole for easy entry and exit. Its cover has heavy hinges and a strong, rotating latch. Sidewalls for all BROCK On-Farm Feed Silos are assembled using high strength Grade 8.2 silo seal bolts with the JS-1000 rust-resistant coating. Brock s optional rust-proof polypropylene-encapsulated silo assembly bolts provide enhanced corrosion resistance. Feed silo foundations are designed to secure the silos against 145kph winds Brock s strong sidewall body sheets are made with G-90 galvanised steel with a tensile strength of 65ksi to protect your feed and provide maximum strength at all levels. The spun steel lid is shaped from a single piece of galvanised steel for a tight, life-long fit. The lid opens wide for easy access to the fill hole or latches tightly to make a weather resistant dome. Brock s innovative Eave Tension Straps offer the highest farm silo peak load capacities available, up to 3,600kg. The silo anchor system supplies a strong, load bearing connection to the foundation. 9 Transparent Bins/Boots Visually inspect the flow of the feed to the bin s boot and auger system with one of Brock Chore-Time s transparent bin transitions. Made from a transparent polycarbonate material, these bin transitions offer high strength and high impact resistance. The transitions are available in translucent red or clear models. That s the description of Brock Chore-Time s red feed bin transition now available for use with all models of Brock Chore-Time Feed Silos and Brock Chore-Time FLEX- AUGER Feed Delivery Systems. Brock s Hopper Silo Ladder System is another quality difference BROCK Feed Silos offer you Brock s Ladder System includes a convenient handrail (patented) to make users feel good about stepping from the silo roof to the side ladder. Round rungs feature raised, non-skid surface and are permanently attached to the ladder rail for a hand-filling, secure grip. 11 Unloader Heads Control Panels Chore-Time s transparent unloader heads means that any blockages are easy to see. The translucent red feed head allows personal to visually inspect the feed flow from the coreless auger. Blockages are easy to spot. 12 Hampton Grain Roller Mill The Hampton Grain Roller Mill has been built locally and designed for NZ conditions. These machines produce a better sample than other Grain Roller Mills currently available in NZ. Geoff Hampton Engineering has been making roller mills for over 10 years. The Hampton Grain Roller Mill has been designed to be safe and easy to operate and is built to last with rollers formulated from cast iron. The Mill is powered using a 15 hp electric motor, and comes with feet that can be bolted down for stability. 13 Molasses Feed Systems Advanced Feed Solutions will fit molasses feed systems to both Herringbone and Rotary dairy sheds. These are designed and fitted to your specifications. Molasses Tanks Molasses tanks have a heavier sidewall than water tanks as molasses weighs 1.4 kilograms per 1 litre. These tanks are available in almost any colour. Rotary Sheds An air operated Y valve is used to dispense molasses; this amount is accurate and precise. This amount can be varied to produce a different volume fed. Pumping Equipment There are options to pump the molasses Roper gear pump Helical roto pump Both of these are available with either single or 3 phase electric motors. Flow rates range from 11 litres/minute to litres/minute. Set up on galvanized base plates complete with coupling guards and motor. Herringbone Sheds A direct injection system is feed into the feed tray via a manifold system; this gives a consistent and even distribution over the full length of the feed tray. This means that anywhere the cows stand in the shed they will get the same amount every time.

14 Rotary In-Shed system An Advanced Feed Solutions Rotary Feed System offers many unique features for dairy farmers A typical feed system in a rotary dairy shed will include at least one storage silo, coreless auger delivery line into stainless steel trays on the platform or maybe another larger silo with a roller mill to crack the barley. Galvanized robbing bars are secured to the bails to stop any stealing from the next bail.

15 Herringbone In-shed systems Advanced Feed Solutions Herringbone feeding systems offers precise and individual feeding. This fully enclosed system moves feed across the top of the dispenser with a coreless auger inside a PVC tube. The operator pulls a lever to deposit an amount of feed in front of the cows. While the cows are eating, the system refills for the next row Feed is transfer from the silo into the dairy shed, filling individual dispensers on each side of the pit. These dispensers are manually adjusted from the front; this alters the amount to be fed. Each hold up to 5 kilograms. Flex-Auger can transport most rations of common dairy feed. The Herringbone system is a high speed, flexible, close circuit meaning reduced maintenance costs.
