Whether it is for sealed batteries for watercraft or fishing boats or larger open lead acid starter batteries in extensive electrical systems, the fully automatic Handy quickly and completely charges, benefiting both the lifespan and reliability of the battery. The Handy chargers, which include a bracket for fixed mounting, are supplied with everything needed to connect the charger to the AC source and battery. There are four versions available for 12 V batteries: 2 A, 7 A, 15 A and a version for 24 VDC. Automatic battery chargers Battery Chargers Automatic battery chargers Supreme Chargers A WhisperPower s Supreme series battery chargers are designed for fixed installation in yachts and other vessels. These are powerful battery chargers which can charge three different batteries simultaneously. The Supreme charger is easy to programme for GEL, AGM and open lead acid batteries. The charger can handle input voltages from 90 to 265 VAC (50 / 60 Hz) and can therefore be used worldwide. We offer 4 different models for 12 VDC (20 A, 40 A, 60 A, 100A) and a 30 A model for 24 VDC batteries. Our Supreme chargers can be programmed to charge both sealed and wet batteries in one system. The kit consists of 15 mtrs yellow shore power cable with shore plug, cable molded plug for the stainless steel boat inlet and the boat inlet, capable to handle 16 A/ 230 VAC, itselves. This inlet includes a moulded cable which can be connected inside the boat to the electrical cabinet (earth leak protector/ GFI) which is supplied with a cable to connect a double 230 V 50 Hz socket. This ShoreConnect kit can be extended by a WhisperPower battery charger or Combi. Galvanic Isolators Isolators WP-GI Galvanic Isolator 16 A WP-GI Galvanic Isolator 32 A WP-GI Galvanic Isolators Connecting a yacht or ship to shore power in a harbour can consequently lead to the vessel sustaining damage if galvanic isolation has not been taken in to account. Galvanic corrosion can drastically damage the vessel s underwater metal parts. Corrosion can be partially prevented by the application of galvanic anodes (sacrificial anodes) below the waterline. How effective an anode is depends on a good electrical connection, and is directly proportional to the surface area of the anode. Fitting this robust marine grade isolation transformer between shore connection and the yacht system is the best way to avoid galvanic corrosion. The WP GI 3.6 is fitted with a soft start to absorb peak loads when connecting this device to the shore power. The unit can also be adjusted to 120 VAC, allowing to use American/ Japanese shore power electricity. Solar Chargers Solar WhisperPower Solar Panels and Chargers For cases when energy consumption is limited, purchasing and installing solar panels can be a good solution for providing onboard electrical power. The actual yield is determined by the type of panel, its dimensions, the geographical location of the boat and the position of the panel in relation to the sun.
