3 We offer the solution: Sinusstrom Sinushammer For the first time it is possible to have a simple self sufficiency by using a photovoltaic system and a combined battery storage with the Sinusstrom Sinushammer. The phase with the main consumers of the House is fed at the house connection box by the main-synchronized but not on-grid working inverter from the PV plant and the battery storage system respectively. In this way, a high degree of self-sufficiency can be achieved. As soon as the batteries fall below 30 % of their nominal capacity and no more PV electricity is generated, there is a changeover to mains operation. 4 PV- & battery-electricity How it works In the normal case, the PV panels are optimally illuminated by sunlight and produce Energy. The required current passes directly to where it is needed. The energy which is left is stored in the battery system. The storage provides the energy available which is produced during the day. Therefore even at night the energy requirements can be met. As soon as the batteries fall below 30 % of their storage capacity and no more PV electricity is generated, there is a changeover to mains operation.
