The distance between sequences of the assembled batteries should secure 0.8 m or more. The isolation distance from a wall should secure 0.1 m or more. (When installing the assembled batteries back-to-back, It is 0.8 m or more.) The battery system must be installed under a condition which fully meets the requlations of the country where it will be placed.

8 Notes of Precaution before Use Before using LL type, LL-S type and LL-W type Valve Regulated Lead-Acid batteries (VRLA batteries), please read handling manual and precautionary notes carefully. As VRLA batteries have electric energy, inappropriate usage may cause leakage, heat generation, explosion, or bodily injury. If you have any questions about the handling manual or the precautionary note, please contact with manufacturer. DANGER 1.Because the lead-acid battery generates hydrogen gas, exposure to an ignition source, a short circuit, or static electricity may result in an explosion and fire. provide adequate natural or forced ventilation in the room where the batteries are located. As a guideline for ventilation, do not allow the hydrogen gas concentration ratio to exceed 0.8% in volume. Determination of the hydrogen gas concentration ratio of 0.8% is based on the explosion limit multiplied by the safety factor. Avoid short circuits between the + and terminals of the battery. (ex. Use friction tape to insulate metal tools like tonque wrenches and open box-end wrenches.) Avoid exposing the batteries to ignition sources ; do not smoke near the batteries. Use a moistened cloth (tightly squeezed cloth) to wipe the lead-acid battery. Do not cover the battery with a friction sheet, which is likely to generate static electricity. 2. The electrolyte in the battery is dilute sulfuric acid. If dilute sulfuric acid contacts the eyes, skin, or clothing, immediately flush with plenty of water. If swallowed, immediately and repeatedly gargle with plenty of clean water and then drink plenty of clean, potable water. In particular, if dilute sulfuric acid gets in the eyes or is swallowed, seek immediate medical attention after following the first aid procedure described above. Failure to heed this precaution may result in skin burns or loss of vision. WARNING 1.Avoid contact of the soft PVC coated wire or sheet that contains plasticizer, organic solvents like benzene, thinner, gasoline, etc., or kerosene, oils, synthetic detergent, and chemical cloth with the container or cover of the battery. Failure to heed this precaution may result in cracking of the container or cover and leakage of electrolyte. 2.Avoid installation of the battery in a location where there is a possibility of flooding. Failure to heed this precaution may result in damage to the battery or corrosion of terminals, connecting plates, and connecting wires, or electric shock and fire. 3.Avoid short circuits between the + and terminals of the battery. Failure to heed this precaution may result in electrolyte leakage, overheating of the battery, ignition and explosion, and/or smoke generation. 4.Always wear protective gear such as rubber gloves and rubber boots during maintenance and inspection of the equipment. Failure to heed this precaution may result in electric shock. 5.Replace the battery before the life time indicated to handling manual, apparatus, specification. Failure to heed this precaution may result in damage to the container and/or the lid, or fire by leakage of electrolyte. 6.Because used batteries retain an electric charge, avoid generation of sparks and short circuits. Failure to heed these instructions may result in ignition and explosion. CAUTION 1.Charge the batteries as specified by the manufacturer. Failure to charge the batteries as specified may result in an inadequate charge or cause leakage of electrolyte, overheating, ignition and explosion, performance degradation, or reduced service life. 2.Read handling manual carefully before installing the battery. After reading, store handling manual in a secure location for convenient use as required. If you have any questions, contact with manufacturer. Failure to properly install the battery may result in electrical leakage, electrical shock, damage to the battery, or burning of the product. 3.Use or store the batteries within the temperature range specified as follows ; Operation : 0 40 Storage : Recommendation : 5 35 Using the batteries with being out of above temperature range may lose the performance or reduce the service life of the batteries, or may cause leakage of electrolyte, damage to the battery, deformation of the battery. 4.Avoid use the battery in direct sunlight. Failure to heed this precaution may result in deterioration of the battery components. 5.Avoid use of the battery in dusty locations. Failure to heed this precaution may result in a short circuit. 6.Avoid use of the battery near heat sources. Failure to heed this precaution may damage to the battery or reduce the service life. 7.Avoid use of the battery exceeding the maximum charge-and-discharge current indicated in the specification. Failure to heed this precaution may result in a reduction in the service life, damage to the batteries, or burning of the product. 8.Perform periodic inspections of the batteries within the recommended periods. When an inspection reveals that anyone of the criteria specified is not satisfactory, appropriate steps should be taken according to the respective inspection item, and all such steps should be recorded. Using the batteries without correcting the unsatisfactory condition may result in damage to the batteries, burning of the batteries, or performance degradation of the batteries. Please contact with manufacturer about the inspection procedure for batteries. 9.The used batteries should be recycled. When disposing of the used batteries, entrust those batteries to a processing contractor according to the regulations in your country.
