31 Wing Air Load Distributions Minimize aircraft weight while meeting safety standards The aircraft structure must: Withstand the proof load without detrimental distortion Not fail until ultimate load has been achieved. Obtain distributed load on wings by combining AVL results with the proper equations. Finite element method used to calculate aerodynamic loads in the body-fixed coordinate system. 31
