5 Royal Petro Energy R In 2005 Royal Petro Energy in AL Ghail Industrial Area (RAKIA Free zone Authority) Ras Al Khaimah ﬁrst started its own petroleum plant having capacity of producing 72,000 MT of base oil per annum and with a storage of cbm to handle diﬀerent feedstock and ﬁnished product. The 20,000 square meter factory is manned by well-qualiﬁed technicians and skilled staﬀs to meet desired production levels. To spearhead its existing growth, the company has launched a New Project for Storage Terminal facility at Hamriyah Free Zone with a capacity of 87, cu m. and another Petrochemical plant at Hamriyah Free zone. The products of the reﬁnery are Naptha, Gas Oil, Heavy base oil, Light base oil, DEG, MEG, TEG, Petra. Royal Petro group s reﬁnery can handle a wide spectrum of feedstock and ﬁnished products, which are sold locally as well as in other markets in the Middle East, South Asia and South-East Asia, India, Asia, China. 9 Royal Petro Energy R At Bitumen division, Royal Petro Group focuses on manufacturing, storing, and the international supply of Bitumen and Bituminous products from its terminal at Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, UAE. It has two 3000 MT bulk storage tanks for storing and distributing bitumen. The tankage is very near to the jetty along the main harbour. All penetration grade bitumen can be supplied in bulk vessel, road tankers, and in new or reconditioned drums. Royal Petro Group also supplies viscosity grade bitumen. A wide variety of bitumen road binders, tack coats, primer and emulsions for the road construction industry are produced by the company to meet global standards. The group is backed by a team of professionals, implementing extensive quality control systems. It currently trades dirty products including fuel oil, bitumen and clean products like base oil, gas oil and naphtha. With the growth in the trading volumes, Royal Petro Group has steadily ventured into the world of ship owning. The general idea is to enable Royal Petro Group to have a much better control over the entire supply chain and thats where the genesis of its Shipping Department lies. Owning its own ships ensures that its trading activities are not dependant on chartered-in tonnage and they can oﬀer more reliable services.
