3 PRINCIPLES 4 PROOFS The use of lubricants is necessary to: Controlled efficiency Facilitate sliding between two moving machine parts. Avoid seizure even under heavy loads. The efficiency of a lubricant can be established by many performance tests. Reduce and avoid premature wear of equipment. Protect machine parts from oxidation and corrosion. Avoid overheating and eliminate excess heat generated by friction. Improve water proofing and protection from other external pollutants. Among them, the 4 ball test which shows best the extreme pressure and anti-wear performance. The results of lubricants are always exceptional thanks to the film and the C60 principle. The principle Bardahl lubricants are formulated from polar active agents. Those components behave like micro-magnets. They are attracted by metal surfaces on which they adhere to form an extremely resistant lubricating film. This molecular film prevents damage generated by the rough surfaces on metal parts which cause early wear and seizure. The C60 principle NOBEL PRIZE WINNER FOR CHEMISTRY in 1996 has been the first company in the world to apply the Fullerene chemistry to the lubricants field. We used the fact that Fullerene spheres act like extremely stable micro-bearings: coming between surfaces in contact, they assist lubricity and reduce friction.
