Natural Gas produces 80 to 86% of the energy of the same relative volume of diesel Today s Natural Gas engines drive like a diesel engine. Stoichiometric combustion is key. DGE Diesel Gallon Equivalent The volume of natural gas it takes to equal the energy content of one gallon of diesel fuel.
