Natural Gas produces 80 to 86% of the energy of the same relative volume of diesel Today s Natural Gas engines drive like a diesel engine. Stoichiometric combustion is key. DGE Diesel Gallon Equivalent The volume of natural gas it takes to equal the energy content of one gallon of diesel fuel. Generally speaking, today s NG engines will deliver approx. 20% less MPG Due to Spark Ignition with a throttle body as opposed to direct injection Fuel Storage becomes the challenge

32 Are there any special service requirements for natural gas vehicles? Yes. Natural gas is lighter than air. Dealer and Customer facilities may need to be modified to meet building and/or fire codes. Technicians need to be trained and certified on natural gas components. Fuel System Engine
