4 The Fairbanks Morse Story Yesterday Eclipse windmill The acquisition of the Eclipse Windmill Co. and the Williams Engine Works in 1885 was the start of Fairbanks Morse Engine. Over the years, Fairbanks Morse Engine has manufactured a wide array of products including radios, washing machines, power 1893 First successful marketing of a gas engine mowers, water heaters, water softeners, air conditioners, and storage batteries. Our machining capabilities range from as large as 43 feet long by 12 feet wide by 23 feet high to as small and detailed as fuel injection components with tolerances of down to 30 millionths of an inch.
