13 COOLANT/ANTIFREEZE XHD HEAVY-DUTY COOLANT/ANTIFREEZE Major diesel engine manufacturers estimate that more than 50% of engine failures are cooling system related. Worn rings, scuffed pistons, cracked heads and corroded bearings may appear to have nothing in common with the cooling system, when in fact, these problems are often the symptoms of improper cooling system maintenance.
