2 SEN1303 lassification This standard classifies cylinders using a 7 digit coding system. Each digit refers to a particular feature of the product measured against the standard s performance requirements. Digit 1 - ategory of use Digit 2 - Durability Digit 3 - Door mass Digit 4 - Fire resistance Digit 5 - Safety Digit 6 - orrosion resistance - grade 1: Suitable for use at extremes of temperature - 20 to grade 4: cycles completed. - grade 5: cycles completed. - grade 6: cycles completed. 3 Features and Functions nti-pull Plug UNION Keso external cylinders offer many unique security features for high security external doors. n example is a rear loaded plug which is virtually impossible to pull from the housing. Modular Design Each side of a UNION Keso double cylinder is a stand-alone unit, secured together by a steel connecting bar. This allows on-site extension and adds significant strength to a weak area of traditional cylinder designs preventing snapping. Reversible Flat Key Fully reversible dimple key (supplied and ordered separately to cylinders). Single ylinder Extensions ylinder dimensions can be altered quickly and simply with the addition of 5mm or 10mm cylinder extension pieces. Products have been tested to and exceed the requirements of S EN 1303 Grade 5. Guarantee ll UNION KESO cylinders are supplied with a 10 year guarantee. 4 Key ontrol Systems Masterkey systems offer control over the movement of people within a building or buildings. It is most important that the keying requirements of a building are accurately and correctly detailed to provide security and accessibility for the keyholders of the building. ny recommendations must relate the security of the system to the convenience of movement within the building. Too much reliance on one side of the security, convenience balance will either sacrifice the security offered or lose the convenience factor. It is thus vitally important to strike the right balance. Individually Keyed System (KD) With an individually keyed system, each cylinder can be opened by its individual key. Example Individually Keyed Individually Keyed System (KD) Keyed like (K) This system allows for a number of cylinders to be operated by the same key. 5 Key ontrol Systems Master Keyed (MK) master-keyed system involves each lock having its own individual key which will not operate any other lock in the system, but where all locks can be operated by a single master-key. Example Master MSTER KEYED Keyed SYSTEM Master Keyed System (MK) Grand Master Keyed (GMK) This is an extension of the master-keyed system where each lock has its own individual key and the locks are divided into 2 or more groups. Each lock group is operated by a master-key and the entire system is operated by one grand master-key. 6 UNION KESO Omega UNION KESO Omega - Patent Protection Inserting the Omega key lifts the corresponding Omega pin and top-pin. Turning the key depresses the Omega pin into the cylinder plug and the tip of the key. The Omega counter-pin remains fixed in the cylinder housing. UNION KESO Omega is a UNION locking system that provides maximum security. Omega technology can be integrated with non-omega (2000s) cylinders within the same master-key system. Omega cylinders can only be operated by Omega keys, with a special corresponding mechanism at the tip. Omega keys, however, do operate 2000S cylinders, although this is not possible when reversed. This combination of systems allows the end-user to choose between different levels of physical security and key protection according to the application. The Omega patent legally prevents illicit copying of key-blanks, giving peace of mind to the suite-holder who can feel certain that nobody is able to gain access by key to the building locked by UNION KESO. The Omega patent is particularly effective in preventing copying of key blanks as the patented Omega function requires a moving mechanism to be inserted into the key. This mechanism is necessary to unlock the cylinder.

7 UNION KESO Omega Extra Protection - External Security Only The security superiority of the UNION KESO Omega locking system is shown by its highly sophisticated mechanism. 1. The cylinder body is built from multiple laminated layers of chrome nickel steel, including a drill protection layer between the steel laminate layers. This gives added drill protection within the cylinder body. The task of the burglar is made virtually impossible by the addition of an anti-pull cylinder plug. Inserted from the centre of the cylinder, the plug is physically restrained by the cylinder housing, making onsite pulling, by conventional burglary methods, impossible. 2. The plug itself is further strengthened from screw attack by the addition of lateral antidrill rods along the entire length of the internal mechanism. 3. s in the case of all UNION KESO cylinders, the modular internal and external sides are secured together by a stainlesssteel connecting bar. This offers increased strength over conventional cylinders by preventing force attack through breaking snapping the centre of the cylinder. The lower part of 4. the cylinder body is protected from drilling in all UNION KESO cylinders by the addition of an anti-drill plate.

8 UNION KESO Omega UNION KESO 2000S - Internal Security Only Internal Security UNION KESO 2000S UNION KESO 2000S is a nonpatented UNION locking system that can be combined in the same master-key system with patent protected UNION KESO Omega cylinders. The 2000S system conforms to EN grade 4 and is ideally suited to internal door applications, where cost is important and a lower level of key protection is acceptable. External Security - UNION KESO Omega cylinders must be used for all security applications where patent protection is essential to protect the integrity of the system. n addition to the Omega cylinder range is the unique anti-pull external cylinder. UNION KESO 2000S cylinders can be operated by UNION KESO Omega keys. It is not possible, however, for UNION KESO 2000S keys to operate Omega cylinders, which makes 2000S suitable only for lower security areas of a master-key system. This allows price savings to be made in areas of a master-key system where security is less important.
