In that context, TBG offers its customers high-quality solutions in Design & Engineering and Products & Solutions as well as Testing & Validation Services. TBG applies those products and services across a wide range of industries in the business fields OEM (original equipment), retrofitting, aftermarket (repair, spare parts) and catalytic coating. In so doing, it covers the entire value creation chain for the exhaust gas aftertreatment sector. The market segments include, in particular, on-road (e.g. cars, trucks and other commercial vehicles), off-road (e.g. construction machinery, agricultural machinery or stationary plant) and miscellaneous applications such as maritime or medical technology. 4 ON ROAD OEM R&D KONTEC GmbH (EST. 1992) KONTEC GmbH is an established medium-sized engineering company specializing in the development of engines and vehicles. KONTEC provides the full range of drive-related engineering development services, including the development of exhaust gas after-treatment systems. Our qualified professionals and specialists work alongside you, from the concept development phase to 3D and 2D design with manufacturing support and small-scale production runs to application and field service. Feasibility studies realized in the company s own testing and measurement laboratories in the form of simulations and virtual prototypes enable specifically targeted development, thereby resulting in cost reduction and product optimization. Consulting activities in connection with the development of drives, engines and exhaust gas after-treatment systems have been intensified in recent years. This includes, in particular, support and consulting work on new concept developments, option and retrofitting tasks, and also failure analyses for internal combustion engines and exhaust gas after-treatment systems used in all application areas. 5 OFF ROAD OEM R&D DIF - DIE IDEENFABRIK GmbH (EST. 1979) Located near Lake Constance in Friedrichshafen, Germany, DIF DIE IDEENFABRIK GmbH is closely allied to the core competences of its parent company KONTEC. With its new testing and development center for large engines and drives, DIF is able to offer innovative product engineering for expanding niche markets in the off-road, marine, rail and agricultural machinery sectors.
