When used in primer pplitions, it n e used lone, or in some ses, it n e formulted with other resins to mke up the dhesion-promoting primer. CP my lso e used s n dditive in otings, inks, or dhesives to improve dhesion to polypropylene-sed sustrtes. When using CP s n dditive, its omptiility with the oting, ink, or dhesive will need to e determined efore use. Brief desriptions for primer nd dditive pplitions follow: Primer pplitions Clen sustrte with isopropyl lohol. Prepre Estmn CP primers t 5% 10% solids nd pply to the sustrte t thikness of mils ( µ). Primer my e ir dried or heted t 80 C for pproximtely 10 minutes. Topots n e pplied s soon s the primer hs een dried. Additive pplitions Clen sustrte with isopropyl lohol. Add 5% 15% Estmn CP 730-1, sed on resin solids, to the oting, ink, or dhesive nd mix thoroughly. Test for omptiility or effet on dry film properties. If dequte dhesion is not otined, inrese the mount of Estmn CP until dhesion is otined. Monitor ny effets the ddition of more CP hs on dry film properties.
