2 THAT S WHY THE USA The United States of America, with more than 240 million circulating vehicles, represent an interesting market for the development of CNG. Today natural gas vehicles are about while CNG public refueling stations are 578. These numbers are small, but the potentiality of the market is big; let s consider the following facts.. The amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere by petroleum derivatives combustion, due to the big number of vehicles, has reached unbearable levels, even if a 8% decrease in 2012: more than 2 billions of tons (see graph). Let s consider the cost of petroleum derivative fuels: its continuous increase does not make news anymore, leading to an unsustainable economy. Last, but not least, most of the vehicles mentioned above are petrol powered, so easy to be converted to CNG. 3 USA: NEW LINE WIH AN EYE TOWARDS THE FUTURE M.T.M. CNG Refuelling Division developed a dedicated line of CUBOGAS for the North America with the goal to increase the market share by offering a robust, efficient and reliable CNG product. Regulatory differences, higher discharge pressures and the need to adapt to different market demands, affirms Rossella Ferraro - North America Project Manager, have been the guide lines applied to design the new products line dedicated tothe overseas market. The CUBOGAS systems, thanks to the efficient reciprocating compressor, can adapt themselves to a variety of intake pressures without COMPACT, ADAPTABLE PRODUCT AND COST EFFECTIVE compromising the outlet pressure level of 3.600psi (250bar). Rossella Ferraro North America Technical Manager CUBOGAS is a plug & fill solution, that, thanks to its design and components allows a fast installation and an immediate natural gas refueling. Compact dimension and flexibility assure reduced installation time and operating costs. All components meet the US standards and requirements, ensuring a smooth bureaucratic procedures to o- btain final authorization for the opening of the station. With more than units installed worldwide, the first U- SA version of the CUBOGAS will be officially introduced on June 25th at the ACT EXPO in Washington DC. The first CU- BOGAS USA is a 2AVTN with two cylinders and four stages of compression. With a fairly small motor of 75 HP, v-belt coupled with the compressor at 855 RPM, at an inlet pressure of 35 psi this CUBOGAS can reach 50 GGE/h. The system integrates ASME certified storage vessels controlled by a priority panel on three pressure levels. The vessels can be both spherical and cylindrical, according to the customer needs and the installation space. PAGINA 3

4 BIOMETHANE A NEW ENERGETIC SOLUTION! Biogas is today an accomplished reality, but still constantly growing. Being an alternative solution for electric energy production, biogas became more and more immportant also in many other fields of applications, such as biomethane. Germany is the reference Country in this field: 7100 biogas plants are operating with Paolo Guardigli Biogas Sales Manager DEDICATED SOLUTIONS FOR VEHICLE REFUELING AND REINTRODUCTION IN THE PIPE LINE an electric installed capacity of about 2870MW, which translates in a yearly production of 18MW/H electric energy. In 2011, eighty-three plants have been equipped for the conversion of biogas to biomethane with a total biomethane production capacity of m3/h. Following this success, in 2012 more than 60 upgrading plans have been installed. Thanks to its composition very similar to NG, Biomethane t have same heat of combustion and the same benefits when compared to CNG, making biomethane a perfect product for automotive use. The CUBOGAS line is complete and efficient also for biomethane. In Sweden there are more than 10 CUBOGAS plants supplying both, conventional or bus filling stations. The station in Orebro is equipped with three BVTN 4-stage compression unit, each one able to compress 450 m³/h at 250 bar pressure. Furthermore, the CUBOGAS solutions are able to meet the methane network re-release requirements and generate pressures suitable for all natural gas pipelines. Biomethane, can be used in many different applications, such as industrial, civil or automotive. Two of the most interesting uses, affirms Paolo Guardigli - Biogas Sales Manager, are the re-release into methane network and the compression for automotive field. PAGINA 4

5 R&D: ENCLOSURE 2.0 Thanks to our constant researchfor new solutions, we worked to a new project with the aim to create a innovative and more efficient, practical and compact CUBOGAS: steel enclosure restyling. Resistance, performance and design are the main feature of the new CUBOGAS enclosure. Alessio Testa Director of Production The new CUBOGAS enclosure has the same resistance properties of a classic reinforced concrete one, says Alessio Testa - Production Manager. The design has been developed using the most advanced simulation software, such as for the major building projects (viaducts, tunnels) in order to reach a weight/resistance ratio capable STRENGTH, PERFORMANCE AND DESIGN to ensure to CUBOGAS the first places in its category. Integral layout and testing are conducted in our facielities in Cherasco (IT) before delivering the CUBOGAS. This procedure reduces manufacturing time and assures very high performances. The new CUBOGAS enclosure is a turnkey solution that allows to reduce both the time and the costs for installation. Aesthetic of the design is also fundamental for us. Besides the classic white/blue colours, a chromatic customization service is available to meet customer and installation area needs. Paint, carefully realized, follows innovative method and first-class material; moreover, handles and locks are made in burnished stainless steel. 6 ITALY, A VIBRANT MARKET! Italy is the first European market in CNG vehicles sale. Most of the automotive car builders meet family and company saving needs offering a variety of NGV models, from economy car to SUV.. Despite from the current crisis in the car industry, CNG numbers are constantly increasing; at the end of the first quarter of 2013, there was an increase of sales and conversions of about vehicles. A 40 % growth with respect to the last year. The CNG stations network increases in the same way. Today there are CNG stations, still a modest number when compared with the conventional stations.
