This includes reducing downtime, enabling higher pressures and temperatures or reducing power consumption and overall costs. 4 4 INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANTS Emgard 2000 Technical Performance Ester-based compressor lubricant Emgard 2000 is designed for use in oil flooded rotary vane and screw type compressors where superior lubricant oxidation and thermal stability is required. The low vapor pressure exhibited by Emgard ester-based synthetic air compressor lubricants means less lubricant is vaporized and carried downstream from the compressor. This is translated to fewer problems caused by oil carryover to air tools, instruments, or the production process. 5 INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANTS 5 Emgard 2100 and 2150 Technical Performance Ester-based compressor lubricant Emgard 2100 and 2150 compressor lubricants are designed for both crankcase and cylinder lubrication in reciprocating compressors. Their superior oxidation and thermal stability provide for reduced carbon buildup on discharge valves, resulting in lower maintenance costs and less downtime. The synthetic basestock and additive system utililized in Emgard 2100 and 2150 compressor lubricants have been specifically developed to be more compatible with the catalyst systems of hydrotreating, reforming and platforming operations. Emgard 2100 and 2150 have been tested against the UOP guidelines for the elemental content of lubricants use with UOP Platforming catalyst technology. 6 6 INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANTS Emgard CL 4000 Technical Performance PAO-based air compressor oil Emgard CL 4000 is BASF s novel PAO-based compressor lubricant which is suitable for industrial air compression application using rotary screw, rotary vane and turbo compressor. The product is specifically formulated to provide longer drain intervals (8,000 hours, or approximately 1 2 years), superior oxidation stability, excellent wear protection, a very low pour point and fast air release time. Also, the product provides very good rust and wear protection, good surface properties and is compatible with main sealing materials NBR, FKM, EPM. 7 INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANTS 7 Plurasafe CL 6000 Technical Performance PAG-based air compressor oil Plurasafe CL 6000 is BASF s novel PAG-based compressor lubricant which is suitable for general industrial, rotary screw and vane air compressors. The lubricant shows excellent performance providing superior oil life and oxidation stability, industry leading wear protection, excellent corrosion protection properties and performance with air and water. 8 8 INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANTS Plurasafe CL Gas 9 Technical Performance PAG-based gas compressor oil Plurasafe CL Gas 9 is a high performance PAG-based compressor lubricant for gas and chemical compression. It is designed for enclosed pattern gas compressors for hydrocarbon and chemical gases, where the crankcase and bearings operate in a gas-filled atmosphere. Under these conditions the gas is readily soluble in mineral oil lubricants, which on dilution suffer a significant drop in viscosity and lubricant performance. This problem can be overcome by using Plurasafe CL Gas 9 in which the gases are much less soluble. Furthermore, Plurasafe CL Gas 9 is particularly suitable for marine service on vessels carrying specialty liquefied gases. Plurasafe CL Gas 9 is available in higher viscosity grades in ISO VG 100 and 150, suitable for gas and chemical compressors. This enables compressors to operate at different temperatures and ambient conditions. The new higher viscosity grades still provide excellent low temperature performance with high flash points. 10 10 INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANTS Plurasafe CL HC Technical Performance PAG-based ethylene (LDPE) compressor oil Plurasafe CL HC is a fully formulated ethylene compressor lubricant based on PAG. It offers the best possible lubricant performance with outstanding economy and is a well-recognized standard in the industry. Plurasafe CL HC is used in ethylene hypercompressors up to 3,500 bar for production of LDPE (low-density-polyethylene). The PAG-based product offers the most cost effective solution and key benefits such as a lower solubility in ethylene compared to white oils or polyisobutenes, superior load carrying and lubricant performance and a relatively flat pressureviscosity characteristic.
